I'm still utterly flabbergasted that you didn't know what window glazing is. There are still plenty of buildings that have older windows that, when broken, need to be replaced and then glazed.
Ray with the phrase of the day. “You pull on anything long enough it’ll stretch” 😂😂😂
the Best House Building show on CZcams - with a great cast of characters!
I think Stud Pack is right up there with the Perkins!
and Arlo is back 😊 macam nama orang melayu 😅
I'm really glad to see Arlo around the job site. He is the Yoda of PBB.
👍🏻🤣🤣🤣
He's older, like me; and he's been doing carpentry since the days of cords and hoses, like me.
Pray that the scourge passes my boy ARLO over. Just like King Hezekiah smear a clump of figs for him to heal
I really appreciate Jason asking why they stopped the roof box short. It really shows the thought process.
I like these remodel jobs over the new construction jobs just for the fact of the issues you can run into. Great video.
Thanks 👍
and at 10:20 Ray hits one out of the park, "if you pull on anything long enough, it will stretch! Classic!!!
Morning crew! Love starting my Sunday with a coffee and the PBB crew!
Its 21 20 pm in my country😅
@@valibla3156same, well now it’s 21:50
Is usually start my Sunday with Jesus
I’m dead
I tend to watch your videos on a Sunday afternoon before I go back to work on a job site for some Monday framing. Needless to say, my Canadian accent for the first half day of work, has a nice North Carolina twang of love that I bestow on everyone.
I don't think I've ever heard Erik actually swear before lol!
Me either and he let a couple slip this episode!
Seriously! 😂 I heard that and came straight to the comments. They did not disappoint.
Guys, that stone cover you glued up looks terrific! And glued up and cut with a saw!
Good to see Arlo back 👏🏻
Jamie, ever the professional, even sets up the ladder for the camera angle to teach the audience how to recover from a mishap. Bravo.
It's Sunday, and I am watching Jaime piece the sheathing on the overhang. I'm a quilter, so I only work on a flat surface, working out angles, but you guys work on 3D. It's a fantastic fit. Because it's Sunday, I remember Jesus was also a carpenter. How much fun would He have working with you guys?
I found your channel by accident a couple of years back just when Jamie had his accident. Love watching the good, honest, conscientious and fun way you guys work together!! Refreshing to see people who actually care about the end product and work they give to their end clients! Vary rare in this day and age, especially in the construction industry here in the UK!!! Favourite statement of the day was "If you pull on anything long enough, it will stretch", comment but, would have expected that to have come from Jason not Ray!!! :) Keep up the good work gents!!
Even in FL the rubber membrane on the whole roof seems to be the norm. I'd find money for it! 😊 Thanks for the video!
I look forward to my coffee and PBB every Sunday and Thursday. You are by far the best building channel on CZcams. I am going to be starting a project on some land I have in Boone in the next year or so and I wish hiring you guys were an option.
I love ❤ Arlo! Everyone needs a little Arlo in their life !!!
New Perkins Brother shirt. You pull on anything long enough... It will Stretch..
I will take mine in 3XLT. 😁
Ray is a sleeper on the channel... "You pull on anything long enough it'll stretch" 😳😳😭😭
🤣 Yes that was so funny.
FACTS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Disturbing but true 😂😂
Eric definitely bit his tongue there until he stopped recording 🤣
Love your videos. I would love them to be more often. I have watched all of your videos more than once, I’m addicted. I love you all. Ray and anything will stretch, Jaime I’m getting a little wild with it, nice and sticky. You are all hilarious.
Hi guys, I came across your channel by accident a few months ago and I have to say you guys make my day, I love watching you all, the way you all interact and your ethics are just a joy to watch. I live in a small country town in Victoria Australia and am just amazed at the temperatures and conditions you guys work in, the snow 😳🥶amazing. Keep up the great work guys. Cheers 😊
Perfect timing! Made a coffee and hoped this had come out.
I could watch these all day. Actually, I have!
Jamie says " We know what were doing " he pauses and then says " We kind of know what we are doing " Well said Lol .
Great video, love the way you show ALL the fixes, some others would hide some of the fixes.
Always great to watch PBB's. One of my favorite to watch. I always check to see when a video is ready to watch. Good job guys.hello to all of you.
construction really is more art than science. ofc the science IS there, in the tools and techniques. it's simply fascinating to see how all y'all solve these problems. even in a new build, there's a great deal of *finagling* needing to be done ~
The cool crew at it again .. like the stone work. And the porch roof . And the johno fella on siding with arlo keeping them rite .. lookn smoken hot🔥.. I wud,n miss ur videos great job .. kevin in Ireland.👌👌
Love catching up with y’all on Sunday & Thursday.
Have a great weekend & new week.
The faux stone kicks butt!
It looks good, but not at $16-20 a sqft...
Pro tip: If you let shirt caulk dry without smearing it, it peels of pretty well LOL! Jay can put that on his channel!
Lexel is to Perkins Builder Brothers what duct tape was to Red Green.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. Red Green
Lol at 2:47. That subtle head shake of Jamie as he walks away 🤣
You could have used the Vevor hammer drill for those holes. They were sponsor of the video after all 😂. Great job as always
Jamie knows he loves some LEXEL!! 😁 I used some to seal my icemaker in my fridge the other day. My wife immediately knew what it was ( she watches all the videos with me).
Love watching all of you! I do a lot of construction projects with my dad. He's taught me so much. I've also learned a lot from all of you and find myself quite literally laughing out loud at the humor!!! Keep up the good work and feel free to give me and my dad a shout out on a video, (Erin Stone and Dan Bilek). He and I watch you all the time and he would love that!
Also trying to find out how to come lend a hand on a build? That would be a dream come true! Let's make that happen 👍🏻😊
You guys are turning a broken down shanty that needed to be bulldozed into a very nice and desirable little bungalow that not only looks good but is structurally sound.
Another great vlog, thanks for sharing 🙏
Enjoyed watching and thanks!!
I love the idea of having a waterproof roof before top layer is on. After having a major medical issue from mold. I am definitely going to be sure my next house is full blown zip system, zip tape, zip weatherproofing, lexel overkill.
im liking the way you have been dulling or muting some of the louder noises at times. I actualy enjoy the sounds but sometimes its nice not to dull it down or completly out using editing. Good stuff
You guys are amazing professionals and make work seem like fun while doing expert work. Your videos are entertaining and very informational. Thank you. Again I must say if I ever were to build a house I would want you guys (the whole crew) to do the job.
Happy Sunday y’all
Fantastic as always boys!
Great hammer drill. Aesthetically pleasing progress. I like it.
Best part of the week right here!
your crew is like Bob Ross in concert with Rodney Dangerfield-- outstanding!!
Looking good.
Love your work 👍
Good question Jason I was wondering the same thing,
Deus..abençoe todos dessa equipe..wue unidos..da o seu melhor..construindo e Realizando..sonhos...congratulaçoes a todos...
Great Teamwork Again 😊😊
Hey guys enjoy your time at ibs! Hope to see you guys there !
i seriously lol’d at the end when Jamie had his little quip about his shingles blowing off 😂😂
I love Eric stopping Jamie when talking about the roof underlayment
" You pull on anything long enough it'll stretch "... next conversation with my wife.. 😆
That place is like a little doll house it's going up so fast!!!
Another great video boys
Great show!!! Watched all episodes. When are you guys building a new home? Looking forward to it! Love the team very entertaining and professional! A fan
I like how right after the ad for the rotary hammer drill, there’s Erik talking about how it’s impossible to drill into concrete without using that tool. 😂
"you might be tempted to think that I don't have a plan"...ive got to use this one.
Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
Pretty cool that you care how the stone looks behind the gas meter.
I like the way u left that 2x6 ridge loose above your brothers head while u reached for a level😂😂🤕🤕
That’s turning out to be a great restomod office 👍🏼
You boys are such Pro"s !! I love to watch You work ! You explain everything so well !! You do a lot of work in a little time !! I LOVE YOU ALL !!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
You could tell Arlo wanted a finish cutting blade for that siding.
Love this channel!!✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
“If you pull on anything long enough it’ll stretch” 😂
Thanks!
Sup! Love the videos.
Of course I enjoy the construction but the synth bass line at the very end was badass
Never heard Eric cuss before!
I just realized that might be the first time I’ve heard anyone say a “curse word” if you want to call it that. And for that I gotta say thanks. It’s so hard to find CZcams channels and television that don’t curse every breath and is still entertaining
❤ video ❤
I Love how Eric is telling Ray and Jay the way he wants the IWS cut and they just do what he asks them to do. That’s hard to find these days. lol
Let’s get you to a million subscribers
Please tell us more about what you think of the OX Blade?
Hey perky bros, you should start a page where you answer DIY questions in terms of what to do for the most random house DIY projects that we all face as there are NO trustable tradesmen in los Angeles and I don't know how to go about fixing most of my house. I need a suggestion on if I should fill in cinder blocks that hold my shed/house up as they are hollow, and rats run across the whole perimeter of the shed. I feel like this may make moister issues worse unless I fill them only halfway. lol random I know but I'm like on Jay's level of knowing what to do haha jk :)
Hey, boys!! Thanks again for another Sunday video!! Have a great trip to Vegas this week!! We all look forward to a few videos of your visit!! KUTGW
Hey Miles!
@@peasanthill5255 hey 👋.. Have a good week!
Jamie ? From a finish carpenter ? It’s called a Dutchman ! That’s the patch u did!
I hope Arlo is doing good after his health situation! :)
Looks like winter is over.
We want Jammie's dad jokes Eric!
Thank crunchy it's Sunday 😁😁😁
What color and series of Evolve stone is that?
Thank you kindly.
Have you guys considered to buy a cordless rotary hammer? I think you would enjoy it
Multiple levels. Does that mean you've levelled up? 😁
Bad pun, on so many levels. 😂
So the other day I went to the hardware store, I asked for a turkey saw and the lady looked at me like I had three heads. Thanks PBB :P
Wanna see Ray more often. Jason has his own channel which used to be Ray and Jason channel.
hello PBB. my question is we dont need air gap between sheathing and siding?
How much more does applying the ice and water shield add to the cost of the roof?
I think it's about $200 for a 200sqft roll. I guess that job needed 2-3 rolls? So 600 for materials and a half day of labor for 2? That's a complete guess on the quantities and labor, I'd love to hear the full answer!
@shmubob it would take two guys no more than 2 hours to underlay that roof. Although I'd estimate the material cost to be more
Depends on what roofing you are using.. metal roof requires the high temp ice and warer shield, and it starts at $1.50 per sqft plus install costs. If regular shingles, it starts at $1.25 per sqft.
I (from an european perspective) find it very impressive, that these "cardboard houses" are still standing after such long time and are not blown away. Love you Guys
The beauty of wood frame construction is its super easy to repair and modify, and when you consider that most European buildings with stone walls, still utilize a wood frame floor and roof, its really not that different
@@Beandiptheredneckyeah the roof is wood but we use roof tiles that last way longer than the gravel-tar-things they put on and most floors are steel reinforced concrete. and you also have the lower cost of wood framing so that’s a pro
“You pull on anything long enough it’ll stretch”
NOT TRUE. Trust me
Facts!
I'm 60 years old married 42 years and your comment had me crying with laughter!
I have been watching your videos for a long time and enjoy my coffee in one of your mugs, but my post has to do with siding. I always see your guys installing the Hardie board siding. Do you ever use vinyl siding for any of the projections?
Love the content! Maybe y’all already discussed this but I missed it…what’s the plan with the crawlspace? I see you left the vents open but with the spray foamed roof deck you may want to encapsulate for better indoor air quality
How is Jamie doing with his arm? Any pain? Any phantom pain? I have a bad arm, I have thought about amputating for years, but kinda scared of the phantom pain.
Perkins Builder Bros "We do the job right! ". Love this channel
this old love shack job almost done - good all rounder - the deck will really help it out - adding the bitchathane was a good added extra #diablo
