To refer this as mere "coloratura" singing is almost an insult. What Bartoli is doing here (and in other music in the Vivaldi and Handel canon) is recreating a vocal moment that has not been heard since before the time of Bellini, Rossini, and Donizetti (who were the bel canto composers). Bartoli's technical feats here put her in a category all by herself. Antonio Vivaldi wrote a lot of vocal music that is today virtually impossible for anyone (except for Bartoli), and Bartoli is flaunting it in our faces like a happy child. What a virtuoso she is!
There are many fine recordings of this music. Caballe's recording is one which offers both superior ease and evenness of tone. It was performed from a different (earlier) edition.

Every coloratura soprano can do this. She only pretends to be a mezzo, which she clearly isn't.

She is absolutely incredible. I have trained as a lyric soprano for the past seven and a half years, but my teachers have all been telling me recently that I am truly a mezzo-soprano, and should listen to other mezzos to emulate them, even if I can call it that. Cecilia has always been my favorite mezzo, but there is no way I will ever be able to hold a candle to her. She's so out of my league! Brava, Cecilia!

I totally disagree with you. She sounds very human. Technically perferct belcanto, I agree. You should listen to Miliza Korjus, however, especially the aria of Queen of the Night from the Magic Flute by W.A.Mozart. Now that is robotic, devoid of any human emotion.

It seems almost impossible for a human being to sing so exactly. I admire Bartoli immensely for both her technique and emotive ability. Her "Cari giorni", for example, is simply exquisite.

Fantastic! First interview I saw with her, the interviewer asked About her facial expressions while singing. And Cecilia said that she was singing so she didn’t know what her face was doing she just knew that she had to get To the notes so it didn’t matter what her face did to get to those notes.

I listened to this aria at first when I was a middle school student. At that time, I was very shocked by the difficulty. So I recorded the same recording with this from the radio to my blank tape and I listened one hundred times. I cannot believe that Vivaldi wrote the most challenge arias for singers. The melody seemed for the violin, not for the voice. So many singers tend to avoid his arias.
Vivaldi must have been "out of normal world" sometimes but we forgive him. :)

Any student singer listening to this will be scared stiff ;-) Bartoli is a true virtuoso, this must be SO difficult to sing.
Insanely accurate rhythm + tonality. Just listen to how her singing completely matched the instrument’ tempo and pitch. Her voice is made to be just another vital instrument complementing the classical voices perfectly.
Anybody interested in singing needs to listen to this so to learn how singing isn’t just about how loud you shriek high notes. Far be it.
