Thanks for the great overview of the RPM meet. Well done! I have to say that my favourite line was from Andy Harman. He said that he suffers from "multiple decades disorder". Hilarious. Don't we all?

I've been working on regulating the disease, selling off my post-1970s stuff and resisting the temptation to buy anything that doesn't fit. But the passenger trains of all eras will always be with me. I also have some SP steam locos that don't fit the 70s and don't fit the passenger trains either. At least some of my NYC and PRR steam can pull a passenger train.

Another great video Ken. I really need to get down there and attend one of these RPM meets. I am too intimidated to bring a model, but I would like to see what the REAL modelers are doing. The selection of vendors looks very tempting, just don't tell my wife how much I want to spend.

Hi Ken, I always enjoy your "What's neat" features. You feature some excellent modelling ideas and products. There was some excellent products on view at the RPM meet. Although I'm based in the UK, I model both the American HOn3 and modern HO scenes and I will try to make it to next years event in June. Kind regards, Murray

I am long overdue to attend a RPM Meet! I've been saying that for years...
You did a great job covering the vendors. You've made me want to check out Tangent, Plano, and I already forgot the name of that company making the automatic modular Signal system. Iowa 1 something! I'll have to look back and check it out...

Ken, Great coverage. I'd love to see a single screen at the end that has all of the websites of the companies you featured. That way I can simply take a screen shot for future reference. Saw several suppliers I'd like to visit their websites. Like yourself and for the same reason, I've not ventured into signaling. Maybe you and IAScaled.com can shoot a how to demo video featuring you installing their system on your layout.

That train depot that you show for a short time in your video... that looks like the Red Wing, MN depot... and if it is that is where I live and where I get most of my photos of trains.

Very cool seeing David Ward with Protoloads.com on the show. I have been a good customer of his every since I found his website. I've actually made a couple of Protoloads videos on my Seaboard Central CZcams page if anyone is interested in seeing the different car types and awesome looking loads he creates. Tim

I'm trying to figure out the lack of Rock Island models seen at the RPM meets. It's almost like nobody models them. There's a lot of nice models shown though.

There are a few tips for diy railroad layout construction
Find a suitable set of plans online
Find a mate who wants to build one too so you have another person to encourage you
(I discovered these and the reasons they work from Jareks hobby club website )
