Her taste is actually quite good!! I'm impressed! She'd make a good Som!
It's funny, as a Frenchman myself I jut felt insulted by her taste which are according to me, terrible! How can one be saying "pinot noir sucks"?? 😂😭
@@lucasziegler2500 well I guess for wine beginner you need to have tried a good pinot and a bad pinot to understand what good means in wine term lol
the guy was joking around without being a jerk, such a relief to see, nothing worse than being new to something and some snob attacking you for not knowing anything
I meet too many people like this... it just displays their maturity and mental age.
1:38 "First question when you're tasting wine: Do you like it?"
YASSSSS! Finally someone I can listen to!
Bianca Bassani *Outstanding wine educational video. The girl is hilarious, however next time please SHAMPOO you hair before the show! Here is a CarSanook wine reportage from THAILAND, Khao Yai, three hours from Bangkok* czcams.com/video/5IJR9ooqlxg/video.html
@3:44 "To me, it smells like my mother's breath" is such an underrated line
"Did she like apples?"
Mom had a glass of ripple!😜😜
Props to the editor this was super funny. How does this not have more views? This was a lot of fun to watch, especially from a wine newbie like me.

Start sending it to your pals
This guy carried the conversation so naturally. Love this.
I like how she doesn't hide her millennial humor. Love it
Also him saying "we have determined this wine smells like wine" has "hmm this floor seems to be made of floor" meme vibes
The snozzberries taste like snozzberries
moved here a year ago from living my whole life in australia. I thought the Australian wine industry was the be-all, everyone (in Australia obviously) spoke about how our region was the most complicated and best etc etc etc. We used to all talk about how stupid it was that a lot of french wine markers don't put the grape varieties on the bottle, that having to know the regions and what the region offers was just too complex etc etc
Having learnt about French wine and visited each part of France, the appellations, the regions, the history, the tastes, I was blown away but the complexity and I don't think I can go back.
FYI I've worked in a few wine bars in Sydney for the past 10 years and several of my friends are sommeliers.
A bit painful......but proof wine appreciation is a journey.
Well, knowing French wines is more painful than that. Bordeaux is not a single taste. There are a lot of different kinds of soils. For example, the Saint Estèphe, in this video, is different of a "Haut-Medoc" or a "Grave". But all are Bordeaux.
Same for all different regions.

More than a bit painful. Cringe gang
Ray is an awesome wine guru! I've had the pleasure of meeting him at many F&W events. This is a fun and unpretentious video with some French wine basics. I enjoyed them both - very fun and friendly. Now I just need to get some CdP!
This was great, Ray's incredibly supportive and engaging and Hallie was awesome. Learned a lot, thank you!
It's so interesting to see how anyone that doesn't know anything about wine ends up appreciating it. Taste a lot, and don't stop!
Nice to know that she slaps the bag. A culture deeply rooted in the French region near Lyon.

I love her! 😂 finally someone I could relate to when tasting wine! And such a great teacher! 👌🏽
That was very entertaining while still educational. Great job to both of them
The two of you together are hilarious. Very entertaining and informative for the novice. Thanks!!!
This is the best wine topic video i've seen on CZcams so far, i'ts fun it goes straight to the point, from the very f beginning you can even learn how to open the bottle by just watching Ray do it, Merci Beaucoup Food& Wine for the video !

Good job guys! Very informative and fun! 👍❤️
This is the most informative video about wine that I’ve come across.
I like her expression, very personal, interesting description.
Hey ! I'm from France and I'm actually learning more about wine with you that I've done with my family for a whole life. They always drink red "burgundry" it's Bourgogne in french. So you right, each region loves is own wine and when people visit a region known for its wine they should definitely try this one.
So great video !

My favorites - Red Wine from Bordeaux and Burgundy. Thanks for all the information you share here. One information I didn't know was how the Champagne is made.
Deserves huge thumbs up, really entertaining and informative! Thanks for sharing..! From us in Singapore...

i'm cracking up, love this
This was very fun!
Love that Sauternes is made from a tart grape
Well, sauternes are made from 2 grapes, sauvignon Blanca and semillion. Depending on harvest and vinification, the tart concept may quickly turn to sweet.
They aren’t tart when they make the wine, they are hairy with mold and very sweet. But they offer that tart vibe up when the wine is finished, that’s what gives it interest and makes it worth drinking.
I want to drink with Ray. Ray, come to Milwaukee. Believe it or not, we have a great little wine culture here. You could geek out with me and my buddies. You'll definitely want to write a feature on it!
This was educational and hilarious. Great editing as well. I would watch more stuff with either of these two.
You can watch more episodes of Ray & Hallie here! czcams.com/play/PL2AXhZKwmcls6ILGEwealRUGmspWeWQ44.html

Reverse keg stand, the dude was like what the F@ck is a keg stand.
Hi there
I like to participate in yours video i am wine aficionado and I like to talk about wine actually exclusively Pinot Noir . That wine is my passion
I class myself as a wine expert and I much prefer Australian and South America wines to the vast majority of French wines .
I have a bottle of red wine stored since 8 years now.will it taste normal or it’s gone bad?
Just got a job at a winery and watching CZcams videos to try and learn how to talk about wine!
The shutters on my house are bordeaux!
love this guy
Malbec from Cahors, Reisling from Alsace
hahahaha her comment on the Northern Rhone "Gross" that was funny to watch. Albeit I love Northern Rhone :) And then at the very end "Pinot Noir Sucks" Classic!!! She is awesome.

nice wines to try
Well. Speaking as a somm. His comments were accurate, but the value was in what she said. I don't care if I like the wine,( business wise) I only care if the customer likes the wine.
I LOVE Korbels brand of champagne
Well, korbel isn't bad in a quality sense but they are definitely overpriced. Sorta like a Ralph Lauren shirt for 60 bucks when you can buy the same thing at Wal-Mart for $15. Just my opinion
omg she's awesome
'It's Europe. They stopped having wars about this stuff, but they still have rivalries.' Sounds about right.
I really want to go to France now, to drink wine and eat cheese.
« Pee-no no-are » « sav-ee-on blonk ». It astounds me how many people can be experts in French wine but not take a little bit of time out of their day to properly pronounce our French words.
How would you write it?
Cute and informative for a young person learning about wine.
I thought she did great and quite frankly alot of what they covered answered questions for the vast majority of people who drink wine. I'd venture to guess the masses do not know that Bordeaux is a region that grows specific grape varietals. Amazing the haters on a very innocent and fun video.

Very funny, Anyway Vouvray ( Chenin Blanc ) and Condrieu ( Viognier ) were relevant places
Why don't you make a video of Chilean wines regions ?
Atacama , Rapel , Valle central , Bio , Bio , Itata , Curico ? We have a lot good wines down here We just simply name it by grape unless is a very known wine Casillero, Kai , Don Maximiano, Almaviva and so on
We are the 4th exporter and our wine is cheaper than French
Regards from Vitacura Chile
vive le vin... le fromage ... et le pain-beurre ! (perso je débouche 2 à 3 heures avant dégustation)
Shes so random that I love it!! I'm like that too... hehehe cringy
She's honest, although naive. I find it refreshing
as a french i have to say like... i mean.... rouge sur blanc...
I've never met someone who doesn't like Sancerre. The GOAT of white wine
in my experience, chablis needs to be drunk with oysters.... otherwise the chalky bitterness is just too intense.
Wine is an acquired taste, just like beer, tea, coffee, etc. With this much help, she'll be a wino in no time ;) It's a bit concerning to see no food with the wine. Nobody here really drinks you know back to back glasses of any liquid. For wine, some kind of food that goes well with it is expected.
I'm disappointed that you did not mention Gewurztraminer, the hidden gem of Alsace and to my opinion the king of white wines.
It is funny that her raw taste is kinda true, but she say's GROSS ...Best way to learn is go get a job in a distribution warehouse, as a puller. You learn more in 30 days....then years of people telling you about it. just read every box every bottle, help at the tastings, Talk to the buyers. hang out in the sales at break... amaze your friends.

Best wines
Europe: french
America: Argentine
Asia: China
Wow he looks like Johnny Vegas
I don't agree with tasting the Bordeaux before the Burgundy...Wines with higher acidity should be tasted first.
I thought Vitis labrusca were grapes.
these people are hilarious
...3:40 and she was built in France!

Sally Field was honest in her tastings. Not the usual fake oh that was good bs.
Ok so everything she likes I am the opposite. Dislike champagne and Chardonnay. Love Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc.
"Idiot" is a severe understatement here.

I live ripe grapes off the vine, better than the wine.
statue of liberty. solid joke :)
Ohhh hahaha expert ey.👀 God made the grapes sugar yeast and water you put sugar and yeast in the fruit 🤪
I drink wine from a water JUG

She’s cute
Can't hear you
11:46 "Champagne is good and Bordeaux is good and Pinot Noir sucks"
Try a Pommard and won't
Weirdos
Any French wine less then £10 uk,is rubbish meaning no buzz.go. For Australian wine much better.
France. Worlds best wine country after Portugal.
Wine tasting is one of the biggest cons that you can fall for. It’s fermented grape juice. That’s it! Everything else that people say they taste from pepper to apples to cherry to Forrest floor. This is just pure imagination. It’s fermented grape juice so if you are tasting anything else but grapes then congratulations. You have been fooled!
I get the feeling she was an unwilling participant in this video.
she seems kind of ditzy to me.
Sirah is boring
She really ruined this video! Incredibly nonsensical and embarrassing. He was super interesting!
Ewww French wine. Taste like bourgeois (Cali. Bougee) Give me some Cali wine! We chug it up and we party. Simple as that, stop overthinking it, snobs.
I cant stand watching infants tasting wine. Not cute.
The expert is kind of annoying
