    I miss our Casita , we lived full time 9 months while our house was being rebuilt after tropical storm Alison ! The AC put me right to sleep with the sound , no alarm clock needed just wait for the sun to glow through the carpet on the walls 🤣😂🤣😂!

    I enjoyed your tour! We have an Independence also, (2017). We love the HUGE bed! It's rare to be able to have a king sized bed in a travel trailer, not to mention it can be configured like you have yours. So many options.

    We also have the indep dlx and agree! We do the single beds most of the time because it gives so much walking space. We went from new newmar 45 ft diesel to this and 100 percent made the right decision. Now to outfit with solar!

    I owned an '88 Casita. Pretty much what you have there. I got it for about $7700 out the door. Very under made, and VERY under suspended. I hope you didn't pay more than $20K in todays dollars. It was one of those campers that was made on a Monday and Friday. At the time, you could only get service from Rice Tx. I moved to Wa.State. I toted a POS all that way there and back to NC. Axle sheered off with nothing in it. But, if you're happy with it....😳

    hi we are trying to decide between the Liberty and the Independence. I like that you can nap on the 2 twins of the Independence. My husband is 6'1" so we need the king bed as well. Does it come with all the necessities to make it into a king size bed? It seems a better fit that the Liberty because you can lay down and watch TV. Thank you for your video. It was very informative. Also, is the microwave standard or is that an option?

    • @ataboc
      @ataboc  Před rokem +1

      Both models are equipped to be made into king size beds. You simply take down the tables and put them under the mattress. Microwave is an add on option

I am interested in this Casita model and I have no luck finding a video that shows the bed configured like you have BUT with a table setup up that can pivot on it's axis in all directions and also up and down.. Nice Review on the Independence Deluxe! Thank you for sharing your height. I too am 6' and I see you had headroom except under the A/C unit.
    I thought I needed the Independece Deluxe becuase of the longer beds... Since you fit east-west, do you think the Freedom Deluxe would match better becuase it has the 2 Captains Chairs and small table?
    Thanks Again!

    I am an aspiring RV owner especially interested in Casita. This was a great video. If one had to stay within the trailer during the daytime, how long can the air conditioner run on batteries? Are these units insulated well for travel/stay during scorching summer heat

    • @ataboc
      @ataboc  Před rokem +2

      Hi thanks for your comment. The air conditioner can unfortunately not be run on battery power. You would need 30 amp shore power to run the AC. The trailer is insulated but the windows are single pane. In the summer, we crack the windows and turn on the fantastic fan which moves a big volume of air.

  • @PhotoAlbert
    @PhotoAlbert Před rokem +2

    Thanks very much for this video. We are strongly considering downsizing from a Class C motorhome to a Casita. If I understand correctly, the Casita does not have a inverter, so you can't use the 120 outlets unless you are connected to shore power. So if you are boondocking, you can only use whatever will run on 12v power. Is that correct?

    • @ataboc
      @ataboc  Před rokem

      That is correct. Only 12v from the battery

    • @AlaskaErik

    • @lisantica842
      @lisantica842 Před 2 lety

      The Liberty has more space between the beds (I think 6 more inches), but then the two side beds are narrower. That's the trade off between the Liberty and Independence.

    • @harryprice5062
      @harryprice5062 Před 2 lety +1

      AC is loud, it's the blower, not the condenser, but most things are loud in small and confined space. Now have option to upgrade AC to thermostatic control, so it's only loud when it's running . . .

    The Curt anti sway bar works fine and is much easier to deal with than the Anderson system. It is also available as an add on. Do prefer the Spirit over the Independence, because the bed and eating areas are separate, and remain set up all the time. We are not primitive campers, so mine is equipped completely different than yours. We absolutely enjoy our Casita and will never change it out. Your decals seem to be missing.
