Other than the look, function wise. is not good. You supposed to look up and pay attention to the road instead of looking down every time you want to check the mirrors

I didn't - but I have risers as well. It all depends on the bike and setup.

I would think that there hard too see out of them
It's easier for some people to see them flipped like this - it takes the shoulders out of the mirrors, or if the bars are raised - just a few reasons!
