  • January 23, 1990 - Up to this very moment in time, Dennis Rodman was primarily utilized as a contributor off the bench as a member of the Detroit Pistons. However, upon Mark Aguirre's recommendation, Rodman was slotted into the starting lineup beginning with the team's January 23rd showdown with the Chicago Bulls. Rodman responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds in a 107-95 win. The lineup shakeup keyed a stretch in which the Pistons won 25 of their next 26 games, ultimately propelling the team to their second consecutive NBA championship.

They only put the games where Chicago won; from 1988-1990 the Pistons were 26-9 vs. Chicago eliminating them 3 straight years in the playoffs; 1988 season series, Detroit 4-2; 4-1 Detroit in the playoffs; 1989 season series Detroit 6-0, and 4-2 in the playoffs; 1990 season series Detroit 4-1, Detroit 4-3 in the playoffs but they'll show the games Chicago won during the regular season and post season to act like Jordan was on the rise and winning and right there -- NO!...Those Bulls' teams were not good because Jordan couldn't elevate his team and those guys were mentally weak, which is why it was stupid how the league made that team successful.

I seem to remember one of those old Zander Hollander books describing Ed Nealy as "the only player in the NBA that lives with his parents".

OMG, I used to buy that book, until they quit after the summer of 1997! I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan, Japanese-American and male. (Showing where, when, and HOW I grew up). I used to quote SO much from those books!

Ed Nealy was strong and had good fundamentals. Jordan liked his game.

Ryan, you uploaded this same clip, two years ago. czcams.com/video/dbTmK4UU0FQ/video.html
Since you're recycling clips, I'm going to recycle my comment from back then:
"The stickler in me feels obligated to let you know that this is not _on_ Nealy. Trying to draw a charge on Vinnie, he was bumped off balance and never had time to recover to actually challenge Rodman. You might question how else to describe such an occurrence with words, but what's the point in saying one guy dunked on another if the latter wasn't even able to defend it. It's always been meant as a boastful insult."
