So I can confirm that the new Eagle is much better than the Hook Series in every way. Regular 2D sonar is more sensitive and clearer, DI is spectacular and side imaging is also much improved over the hook series. I am very pleased with the new Eagle.
Very good review thanks. I have a question please. “ I currently use a Hook Reveal T/S with AI 3in1 Transducer - wanting to upgrade to the FS which is a little out of budget now .. How different or better is this Eagle t/s compared to the Hook 7 Reveal or is it more of the same, is it worth the upgrade ? Cheers
According to the specs, Hook7, Eagle7, FS7, Hook9 and FS9 use screen with 800x480 resolution. But Eagle9 has 1024x600 resolution (or 1.6x more pixels). Maybe this is where the T/S HD will shine because the screen can show more detail.

Tadi ada test side scan gambar mmg clear. Cuma nak komen tu tak berapa pandai kalau dibandingkan dengan xdcr AI2 dan TS dari Hook. Anggaran harga RM3500 Eagle 7TS. Terima kasih follow!
How strongly to you recommend it. This seems like the finder I want/need with my budget. Side imaging seems like a must in 2024 if you’re getting a finder.
@@howaboutnowdad4582 Consider this. You will get extra 1.6x extra pixels on the 9 inch model (1024x600). The 7 inch Eagle uses standard 800x480 screen. i.e. Simrad Go9 and Hook Reveal 9 use 800x480.

How does it look on the water
It looks great. But I haven’t compare it side by side with the former Hook Tripleshot non-HD.
