The up and down mood swings that Meruem is displaying seem very human to me. I think his interactions and bond with Komugi is effecting him more than he realizes.

This was beautiful imagery! Youpi looks like a devil and Pouf looks like a cherub. They both take part in the rebirth of the king, or should I say Meruem, who now has an identity because of his name. This makes him more human and the guards representing this “good” and “evil” that exists in all humans is so poetic. Also, the fact that they’re elevated to queen status is such a nice idea, because they are the reason for his rebirth. Togashi never misses.
