I heard A.B. say in an interview that not only did this actually happen, but quite a number of times. One time when they were in another state, he and Selena went to Macy's and a security guard followed them, and so she turns around towards the guy and says, "Can I help you!? We’re not going to steal anything, I got an American Express Gold Card!" 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻😄😄😄

I LOVE the scene in that store. Same thing happened to my teenaged dad back in the 1950s -- he went into a nice department store to buy some dress shoes with $200 his father had given him for that purpose. He asked a sales clerk where the shoes were and the clerk was like, "Oh, I don't think you'd be interested." Dad pulled out his wad of cash and said, "Well, I guess I'll spend this at Filene's, then." And walked out. Just because someone is young or doesn't look like they have money doesn't mean anything. I asked for manager and when the manager came she asked whats the problem the girl said " he's trnya pay with a green card." There was a long line behind us and everyone gave me and my girl a weird look. My girl looked at the floor and said lets just leave i dont want anything from here. Thats what really pissed me off. I told manager i can pay with cash or my debit card it doesnt matter? Manager apologized and gave us a free blanket and free hoodie. That blonde lady will be dealing with rude people, but Selena was actually nice enough to have that cold truth that the red dress was not needed. Said dress did not fit Debra properly anyway. That store manager should have said that the dress wouldn't fit them instead of it costing like $800.00.

Not to mention that she would be a downplayed motor mouth in her career.

I never understood why a lot of Luxury store clerks were so discriminatory. If someone walks in there (no matter the color) and asks to look at/purchase an item, no shit it’s because they can afford it. Mind your own business.
Also not to downplay their jobs, but I’m sure Luxury Sales Associates don’t make a whole lot and would probably not even be able to afford what they sell if it weren’t for them working there.

I always love the fact that she’s so casual with her friend and they both don’t like the “extravagan” dress………“hmmmm me either” 😂 I don’t know why , it’s just so wholesome.

I just realized the woman playing Selena's friend, Debra, in this clip is Seidy Lopez, the one who now plays Marcella, Selena's mom in the Netflix series. Nice piece of Selena trivia.
