I haven't had the chance to see Lifemark, but I can't wait for when I do. This is particularly close to my heart because I am adopted. I had always wondered about my birthmother and what happened. I searched for many years and the Lord opened the door for me to find her. I found out that my birth mother was taken advantage of when she was 12 years old, and she gave birth to me on her 13th birthday. That just shook me to the core, first of all that she was so young and second that I was created from a horrible situation. I was so thankful to her for choosing adoption. I also found out at that time that I had a younger half sister. I never had a sister and I am so thankful to the Lord for her. We don't live close, but we do keep in touch. Thank you Kendrick brothers for doing movies like this. I have watched all of your movies except this one and I love them all. Thank you also Kirk Cameron for sharing the gospel in all that you do!!

I had my precious son in High School.I was left with the desicion whether to relinquish him for adoption or keep him...I decided base on my home environment that I wanted to give him the best chance for a better life. When he was in his early 30's I contacted the Adoption Agency to say I would like to meet him. They contacted me after hey met with him. He said he was not closed to the idea but was not ready. The day I hoped for never came because he died at 37...It was like losing him twice. I do not regret my desicion but I would like to speak into an issue I feel needs to be addressed...We hope women will consider giving their babies up for adoption instead of abortion but I believe that we have to be commited to that woman in terms of help her dealing with the grief of losing that child...sometimes I feel the adoption stories can be presented as one big happy story but for myself it took a long time to recover from this loss...I have spoken to many birthmothers who share that pain

Adoption into the family of God is between 2 consenting people. This kind of adoption is not the same. I am so sick and tired of people trying to use the Biblical adoption as why women should give their babies away. It's a cruel and heartless thing to do. Mothers should keep their babies. I wish they would make it a crime to shove propaganda down a mother's throat when she's pregnant. And adoption is NOT an alternative to abortion.

If you're going to use scripture, don't forget the story of the woman who wanted a baby so bad that she stole it from a woman and then they went to the king to ask them what they should do. In order to find out who the REAL mother was, he commanded the baby to be cut in half and they could each a part. The FAKE mother was said, "Yes, cut the baby in half!" Because she was so greedy and selfish she only cared about what she wanted. The REAL mother cried out and was willing to lose her child for the baby's sake. THEN the king knew who the real mother was. THAT is the perfect picture of adoption in this country. AND YOU'RE OK WITH THAT. SHAME ON YOU!!
A follower of Christ knows that adoption is coveting. Christians are called to HELP the widow and orphans. A widow is a woman that doesn't have a husband.

This randomly came up on You Tube for me and as I watched it, my heart was hooked. I’m the adoptive mom who had that precious baby placed in my arms 45 years ago after being told I would never have children. I was heartbroken, but God had better plans for me. He knew that soon a little baby girl would need a mom and dad to love her, and after 3 years, that newborn baby was born and was placed in my arms. At age 20, our beautiful daughter found her birth mother and three half siblings. Our daughter knows we’re mom and dad, but this other family has greatly enriched her life, and it gave closure to the birth mom who always carried a burden for the daughter she gave up for adoption. We are even blessed with a wonderful 12-year-old grandson who has so many people that love him. The blessings keep coming. There are amazing options, and abortion never needs to be one of those options.

This is all propaganda. I feel sorry for any woman / girl who is having to read all these lies. So many have been fooled by this technique before. I am here to debunk the lies. It's hell. It's a hell that keeps on giving. The adoptive parents are RARELY involved in the reunification process IF THERE IS ONE. And when and IF there's reunification, it rarely goes well. IF it does go well at first, it doesn't last long. Those are the stats.

My husband and I are confident in the love we have for our daughter and the love she gives back to us. Our hearts have been very open to receiving our daughter’s birth family into our story. We have loved the birth mother since we received our baby girl, and we have always spoken very highly of her and have always been ever so grateful for the difficult decision she made to hand her baby over to strangers. I promised her when I received her baby 45 years ago that I would always love her child and take care of her. I have kept that promise. When our daughter decided to locate her birth mother, we did not stand in her way, and I was anxious for her to see the beautiful woman she had become. So for you to say it is all lies could not be further from the truth. My heart is large enough to include the woman who gave birth to my child and then loved her enough to place her in my arms.

I had an opportunity to share at a presentation today in SE South Dakota where I told my adoption story and read a poem I had written just a few months before my birth mom contacted me when I was 45 years old. Melissa was there as was the actress who played her in Lifemark. It’s always difficult for me to get through my story, especially my poem without tears. When I finished and was leaving the podium, Melissa had come forward unbeknownst to me, held her arms out, enveloped me and we both just sobbed and I thanked her for choosing life for her son, just as my birth mom did for me 72 years ago! As I watched this video later today, I realized that our story had even more in common including her son's concern for his adoptive parents, that David worried that they might feel replaced or that he was searching for more. Lifemark is an amazing story about choosing life and adoption! Thank you to all who had a part in it, especially Melissa and David for sharing their story and their Christian witness!

My twin and I were adopted at 3 months old by an Angel, we met out birth Mum at age 8 because my maternal Grandmother wanted to meet and know us, we met 3 other siblings all brothers but still stayed with our adopted Mum, she loved us like no other and made so much sacrifices to give us the very best life she could and she did by introducing us to Christ. She read the Bible to us at her knees and prayed every single morning and evening and lived out loud her faith. She adopted many others along the way and none of us would have wanted it any other way. We gather each year for a family reunion either here in America or our birth country and we have the best times ever! She's in heaven now but we remember and celebrate her with such deep fondness and love. We live in a few different countries but we stay connected. Some of us maintain relationships with our birth families today but she is the Grand Dame of all mothers to us and always will be and we Thank God for the blessing of this wonderful Angel! @@samsmom400 I am so sorry for your hurt. I truly am. I agree that no mother should be forced to give up her child, and it is rejection for the baby. You are right, I am a foster mom and I know that even with newborns they feel the trauma of loss. But God….can use the decisions of moms that give up their babies and give that baby the best start possible in another family that is offering acceptance. There are many families praying for children. To be honest, not all children should be with their mothers. Not all women that give birth should even be called a mother. There are many women who abuse, neglect and harm their children, hence the foster care system. So though we may not always understand others choices, if we belong to Jesus, we can trust Him with our lives and the lives of those in our care. And yes, I would also love to see a movie about a mother who chose to keep her baby, who chose to die to herself and put her baby first. We need that story preached from the rooftops! I'm a birth mom and her mama just watched this movie and reached out to tell me she loves me. Kiddo is 14 💛 It's semi-open so we communicate from time to time but we just had a very heartfelt conversation and I told her things about my pregnancy that I never ever thought I would ever tell her. I didn't want her to worry and have to know these things but I got kicked out of my church when I chose life.
I'm going to eventually watch this movie so I can see what she saw, but people have got to quit shaming women because a lot of abortions are happening so that they can continue to be part of the church. That is not very pro life.
The other horrible stereotype is the horror stories of giving birth. The epidural is your friend I promise and it is no big deal. I would rather get 10 epidurals than get bit by a mosquito.
💛 Be blessed and know that God loves you even when the church abandons you.

That is messed up! Pro-Life should be preached, not Pro-Choice!
Then, kicking out a lady who chose not to abort is a strong way to steer her from Christianity. I'm so proud of you for knowing the Lord's will for that better than them.
I wish I kept my would be 24 year-old, I believe, daughter. I always imagined from age 11 or early 12 until early 20s, first I would have a daughter, then son. Well, I got my son. I almost made that poor choice again, but praise Jesus, allowed myself to get talked out of it when got to a clinic with his father. I never told my son about his half-sibling. He is 19 now, so, cannot bring myself. My first child's father, well, we did mutually agreed. He would have insisted on it. Myself, though 21, was at home and would have got kicked out. It was not as I become homeless entirely. I could have went to a shelter where I could carry out the pregnancy and just let my then-boyfriend split up with me.
I remember being on the table, and a mask was put on me. I went from wanting it done, to, I change my mind, absolutely not! I tried to take the mask off and was like, signaling because I could not talk. But it was too late. I was at a time I still believed in God, but I wanted nothing to do with Him, so, it did not occure to me to pray and ask to stop the procedure. A couple days later, I was at my then-boyfriend's for the day. He was not home, so I turned on to an old rerun of original 90210. Andrea was pregnant. I was crying. Other days, I cried in the most painful regret.
I still struggle to forgive myself. Not just that, also, a second time child out of wedlock. With my 2nd child, well, I did have a time of trying to come back to the Lord, but then got involved with an atheist, thinking it can work. I did heavy level of backsliding and only dealing with the Lord when convenient to me. But with my son, I did not know the Lord's ways like I'm getting to, today, but I feel as I was to give my son up. I realized in 1st trimester, deel inside to the surface, I could not marry his father. When he was almost born, his father insisted I move in and pay him rent. It would be irresponsible for me to live separate. I did not want to give up my subsidized rent apartment becausevI wanted to keep it in case things not work out. I should have kept it. When our son was a baby, he hit me a few time. Last time, our son was 2. He kept the verbal abuse. He has mental challenges as well.
4, almost 5 years ago, I got away from his father. Took me some time to overcome guilt of my son having split parents. My son was 14 and chose to stay with his dad. At least it was not a divorce, as we never married. Moving away opened a door to still much growing in repentance and get right with Jesus. I am nowhere near there, but some changes took place, including lately more verbal on things I refuse to do because it is against my relationship with the Lord.

@@teamtwe Exactly, there needs to be a shift. Why try to say that the answer to abortion is adoption? Make movies about mothers who WANTED their babies and needed help and the church came alongside them and supported them in whatever way possible so that they could?
This should be about saving souls. The soul of the infant and the soul of the mother. I wonder how many women would be lead to Christ with this show of love and support? I wonder how many lost their way when their family and church turned on them?
When I hear a so called "grandmother" give testimony of how their daughter had a baby out of wedlock, didn't have an abortion, but gave that infant away, I know that "grandmother" is the sorriest excuse of a mother on earth. I have watched it time, after time, after time ... they are the most selfish, self-centered people I've ever had to deal with.
The horrific nightmares that the mother who has had to reject her baby has to live with never ends. This movie and others like it are a lie and give false hope. Adoptions don't go well for most people.
Do you know how many women have abortions because they can't fathom carrying a baby for 9 months and then handing their precious baby over to a some stranger? And seriously, think about that. Do you leave your baby with strangers, even for an hour?
Adoptions aren't saving lives!! That's a lie!! If people are really serious about saving the lives of infants, support the mother and baby as Christ has said to do! Yes, it's hard. The church can do this as a community, but instead they rather get involved in the trafficking of babies!! What's wrong with that picture?
It's not natural and it most certainly is not of God. It's also run by the adoption cartel. I also know that these sites are monitored by people who are hoping to lure some vulnerable woman who's pregnant into their clutches.
I also know that this comment section is infiltrated with people who buy and sell babies and are posting made up scenarios to sway those poor women who might become their victims.

So thankful for this real account of the raw feelings of life given not taken. Joy comes in the morning! As a birth-grandmother, and someone who serves in a prolife ministry in Louisiana, the gift of adoption is what I call red-letter love. If not for Jesus (His words are written in red in the New Testament), and His sacrifice, and God our Father's sacrifice of His Son (also ALIVE, we would not be known as sons and daughters of the one true God. This is Adoption. God's idea for the gift of life and a life of love. We have coined the language of adoption as "Gifting in adoption". Not giving away our putting up. A mother who gifts her child in adoption to complete a family is giving that family the gift of life and of love! Yay, God!! God bless everyone involved in this film, the families of David and Melissa and all the men, women, and Prolife Ministries loving women into truth, love, and life...for themselves and their children.

Stop trying to wrap up what you did in word garbage. You REJECTED your daughter when she was pregnant. You REJECTED your grandbaby. And you have "joy". That's pathetic. You are completely twisting scripture to fit your life and make yourself feel better for being a lousy excuse of a "mother". Do not compare what Jesus did to you or your daughter. There's no love in REJECTION and that's what you and your daughter did. That is not a "gift", it's a sentence.

On a side note this is probably going to sound funny coming from someone who can't adopt or be a foster parent (it's complicated but basically I'm mentally disabled and I struggle with depression, suicidal thoughts and tendencies and self harm) and I don't know if this is just in my state but a Pro-Abortion friend of my mom's and her husband deal with kids in foster care and she said a lot of kids are bounced from foster family to foster family. We need more committed foster parents. She also said about the ones that are able to be adopted some are deemed unadoptable because people want white perfect babies. It needs to not matter (as far as skin color at least I know not everyone can handle kids with disabilities)

I lost a child when I was 16 and had our oldest son when I had just turned 18. We tryed and tryed for years to have more children and we’re not able to. When our oldest son was 8 years old we took our 5 other children into foster care, their ages where(1 1/2, 3, 5, 6, 8). We also had another child in foster care that we are considered mom and dad.

God has led us to adopt 6 children... our youngest is an absolutely amazing story! So much so that whether I share with a Christian or non-Christian, they are ALWATS amazed at what happened. 2 people called us that we had not heard from in years saying that God told them we would be asked to foster 2 children, a baby girl and a boy. We were not in foster care at the time as we had recently adopted 2 siblings and wanted to focus on their well being. Anyway, we did get a call to come back to a foster agency and then an immediate call to foster a baby girl and her little brother. So many miracle happened in a 9 1/2 month court battle where over 100 false allegations were brought against us from 2 government lawyers, to a homeless man in a Carl's JR answering a prayer I asked God about our little girl that morning, to a pastor out of town whom none of knew, calling me as I leaned against the back wall of a church holding our baby girl... then he told everyone in this church how God had saved this baby from death 3 times (which had happened as we asked about after words as none of us knew) and soooooooo much more. It brings joy & amazement to all we share with... and all glory goes to God! I do wish people everywhere could hear this story as it will bring hope to people!

@@samsmom400 No, I’m saying it’s tragic that so many other mothers are choosing abortions when they could choose to at least give their baby to a sweet family like my friend’s. I completely trust God, and so does my friend, that it was best for that baby to be with his mom.

    • @samsmom400
      @samsmom400 Před rokem

@@Rosie_C You know, there's another option to abortion. It's for the mothers to KEEP their babies. Why do you keep thinking that adoption is the answer??? That's crazy!!!! It's not even biblical. If you both "trust" God so much, why don't you trust that HE and HE ALONE opens and closes wombs FOR A REASON. Maybe He's saying, "NO!!! NOT YOU!!! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE CHILDREN!!!" What you or your friend thinks really doesn't matter. He, God, has already made His decision. You don't know her thoughts. God does. Maybe she has some really dark thoughts that aren't in line with where they should be. Clearly He has said, "No." But, now you are going to argue with him? Infant adoption is from man. That's not God's plan.
Maybe she's having to pay the consequences for past sins. Yes, and sometimes they last a lifetime. Maybe she's sterile from a STD. That's pretty common now, but let me guess, she's the exception. So, let's just leave it at that.
God can also provide miracles. He closes wombs and He opens them. He can open hers. I actually know of someone who this happen to. Trust Him enough to do a miracle. Trust Him in His decision, whatever that is.
Then use your time and energy helping mothers keep their babies. Just be that unselfish without any motive.
