Pahiatua Railcar Society | RM31 'Tokomaru' South Island Tour

Mid March 2024, for an NZR and preservation first, we saw Pahiatua Railcar Society's Standard Railcar, RM31 'Tokomaru' visit the South Island. In this video we see the railcar make it's way North to Waipara for a journey up the Weka Pass Railway. We then also see the Railcar journey West up the Midland Line on an excursion to Arthurs Pass.

We went from Wairoa to Pahiatua for their open day in January many years ago. Had a good look at all the good work they have been doing over many years. Booked a seat from Pahiatua to Woodville in the late afternoon, but the trip was cancelled, so am still looking forward to a ride on RM31 in the future!
