As a sales manager in China, I can honestly say that most of the bulk goods exported to US has no more than 20% profit. Most of the higher unit price items is only at 5-10% (for example, a smart phone, or a TV), plus the payment is usually not immediately done, China company has to bear 0.3-1% for financing the deal.
So here is the question: Who do you think would pay the extra 30% tariff?
