    Tenere 700 is an incredible bike itself, but with the full Outback Motortek kit, Mosko Moto backcountry panniers and Rotopax 1 galon tank, now its THE MOST AMAZING ADVENTURE BIKE EVER (IMO 😁) Thanks for everything guys, you're awesome!!!!

    Love my Mosko Motos. Done two 6000 mile rides so far, camping out every night. Something not mentioned but that I love is the plates are symmetrical so you can put the bags on ‘backwards’, this really brings the weight inboard (the pockets toward center of gravity), I carry two 1.5 liter smart water bottles in each pocket plus 2 liters in hydration pack in my jacket (8 liters!), toolkits in bottom of bag with tubes on top keeps weight really low & inboard. Perhaps wishful thinking, but if I ever go down on the road, I reckon the filled water bottles will act like airbags (ok, water bags) absorbing some of the impact hopefully.

    I love that bike, so nice to have a actual midsize adventure bike. That rack setup, looks good, however praticalically loading 30-40lbs of gear, then that fuel weight onto those racks all supported by bolts and welds is going to fail at some point when riding continuously hard off road. I had that set up on a AT and it failed. Street and minor off road ok, but keep an eye on the stress points.

    • @Outbackmotortek
      @Outbackmotortek  Před 4 lety +1

      Definitely no failures even with Mosko Moto Backcountry pannier racks loaded. This includes goat path style rocky trails, jumps, crashes etc. Feel free to check out Jotx Trail's CZcams channel for some good action with our setup.

      @@Outbackmotortek I tend to believe it is more the continuous wash board road ways that vibrate the heck out of every weld on our bikes. My trips have been many, and long back country trips. Welds are not always guaranteed in that environment. I recommend to all our regular riders to use soft luggage if riding continuously off road. Someone, sooner or later experiences a weld failure or metal stress fracture. Cheers.

    I have the back country 35 on my 790R,, 2 weeks ago, I arrived at my house and the right side bag was missing. I was just on a road ride, have no idea how I lost the bag, especially with the wedge system. The next unexplained mystery is that the bag was found 200 kilometers away and returned. How could the bag fall off? I am now strapping the bag to the frame for additional security

    More Questions:
    • Is your tail rack compatible with the
    pannier racks?
    • Will the Rotopax also mount inboard
    but horizontally?
    • Does the Rotopax plate need to be
    yellow?
    • I assume that installing a second
    Rotopax on the right side of the bike

    exhaust....n’est ce pas?

I am looking to have a Give plate and Outback Motortek crash bars instaled on a Tenere 700 as well so I was wondering would they clear each other size and mounting wise? Enjoy the ride and thanks :)

    can easily tell over time just the clamp on the side of the pannier is not enough specially with the weight of gas and the location. if this was welded, they can crack after long term abuse or normal offroad use, so imagine if it was just clamped liek this is. Should get that welded

    • @Jotx
      @Jotx Před 4 lety +3

      No it's not possible because of the design of the bike. The tail of the bike becomes wider and doesn't have space enough to fit in. But this way the tank keeps perfectly fitted, protected by the rack mount, and even you can fill it without having to take it off the mount.

      BMW F850 GS is the same or even a bit smaller, R1200GS is somewhat larger, do not confuse base bike version with what all manufacturers call 'Adventure' version. And every adventure version is significantly heavier, feel free to check. So it is really better to carry all that fuel only when you actually need it, and not all the time. I guess there will be lot of aftermarket options from Acerbis and others anyway.
