  • Alice Springs Business Owner Darren Clark says local business owners in Alice Springs have taken to “camping” in their shops and he is “so proud” they have not struck back against the violence.
“All along my street here and where my business is … guys were actually camping in their businesses,” Mr Clark told Sky News Australia.
"I’m so, so proud of some of the boys in this town … they’ve held back, there’s no vigilante stuff going on, I do not condone that under any circumstances and these boys know that … they’ll guard their businesses, they’ll protect other businesses but they won’t do it with violence and that’s the important thing."

When the laws say that anyone under 18 can do whatever they like and get away with it then this chaos will never end.

Yes, I realize I am American but lawlessness is an absolute no go in my book. I truly feel horrible for anyone just trying to survive this hell and chaos.

In America I have one phrase for you:
"Rooftop Koreans" during the 90's Rodney King protests in California. The Korean community was being destroyed by mob violence and they had to be armed on the roofs shooring ppl with live rounds because their businesses were being destroyed.
I remember watching it unfold live in the 90's and my heart and anger was with the Korean community.

Peace isn’t the absence of friction
It’s the presence of justice - Dr MLK.
It may not be a racial issue but it is definitely a culture problem.
You can try to differentiate between the two but at the end of the day they are intertwined.
