    Great video. I just picked up my Revolution today for $500! I found it on OfferUp and drove 2 hours away to get it. I saved a ton and the thing is in perfect condition with all the accessories. I just had to wipe it down and it was ready to go :-)

    Bro thanks for this review. You convinced me to get the machine. One tip for you (same tip that changed my life a few years ago)... your form is all over the place. If you perfect your form and count to 5 seconds in each direction you would be jacked ( you def already have the foundation). Once again thank you!!!

    Great review. My only question is: I currently have a Bowflex Ultimate 2 which I am outgrowing. The rods are not enough tension for me to do 12 max reps on larger body parts. I could upgrade to the 410 lbs but is the Revolution have more resistance at 300 lbs max than the Ultimate 2 would have at 410 lbs? I asked the question to Bowflex direct and the said that the Revolution has tension throughout the exercise while the Ultimate 2 had the most tension at the top of the exercise. Before trading up I would love to know the answer to that burning question.

    • @Mohammed-r1b2s
      @Mohammed-r1b2s Před 6 měsíci

      I believe so, Revolution has stronger resistance from beginning to end. So 300 max will feel stronger than 410 from rods.

    • @perezm714
      @perezm714 Před 5 lety +1

      The whole assembled machine is over 300 lbs. The front extension (where preacher curls or leg extensions can be done) folds upward for storage, then the back main unit where the resistant disks attach can be lifted by a handle and the bottom standing plate has small wheels it can be rolled on. Not very easily on carpet. But if having to move over stairs, I'd say it would take a good 3 or 4 strong guys to pick it up and move it.

    • @perezm714

      It can be assembled by 1 or 2 people in about 2 to 3 hours if handy with tools. Otherwise it may take about 4 or more hours to assemble for a not so handy person.

    • @Fenkner
      @Fenkner Před 6 lety +2

      Yes the bench raises all the way up and locks into place. It's a bit on the heavy side but definitely convenient if you need to save space when not in use.

  • @RiktorSkale
    @RiktorSkale Před 7 lety +1

    How does the resistance compare to machines with pins on the weights? Also can you do lat pull downs?

    • @perezm714
      @perezm714 Před 5 lety

      The disk resistance is progressive, where it gets more difficult as the internal band mechanism get wound further. Weights with pins is complete resistance from the start of lifting the weight off the stack. Yes, lat pull downs are possible with it.

      Probably a 7 considering that assembly, amount of space it takes up, multiple parts that need to be moved around to perform different exercises and the way the ropes with resistance disks work.

    I have had this and now have the bioforce. The resistance are comparable to each other but I prefer the quick change and the increments of the bioforce weights. Plus I think the bioforce is better built not that the revolution is bad (it's also built well) Only issues with the 2 is that I cannot get sore with shoulder shrugs, chest, lat pull downs, and triceps like I do at the gym which I still go. I do push myself to the point of failure. Is there anything you can suggest?

    Nasa Engineered guys, dont forget that.
    Why isnt there a straight forward video about its effectiveness. Does it feel like you can stack 200lbs? or does it feel week and cap out at 70 lbs? give us some real intel on this machine.

    • @perezm714
      @perezm714 Před 5 lety +1

      The resistance comes from plastic disks with an internal winding mechanism. There is no mass weight with this machine. Attaching more resistance disks to the machine will make the exercise effectiveness difficult.

    • @MuhammadSoroya
      @MuhammadSoroya Před 5 lety

      @@perezm714
      If i were to stack all the disks available what is it equivalent to? Is it like lifting 200lbs or below 100? And is the tention linear or is curved like the other bowflex rod machine?

  • @xDarkside101x
    @xDarkside101x Před 12 lety

    Yes you can. This video is good but he's wrong on the leg part. You can do squats, leg press, leg extensions, and leg curls to work your entire legs. You can buy a plate upgrade so that the lower body can deliver 610 pounds of resistance. I have a revolution so I know.
