- Hey y’all. This video came highly requested about things to do prior to moving to Kuwait. I hope these things help you in your move over as they did for me 🥰
Beautiful video. I especially love the ending prayer as it blesses all people, regardless of their selected faith. Continued blessings to you and your family.
Thanks hun, this came right on time and a teacher video of would be helpful too. 💜💜💜
Awesome and you’re very welcome ☺️
Yes! Yes! Yes! This video is spot on.
Aww thank you gorgeous 🥰💛💛
Your videos are helpful. I’m preparing to take a contracting job in Kuwait.
Amen sis, thank you, God bless ✝️🛐🕊️🎶💐.
Thank you love 🥰
Dear Kiera,
Thank you for making this wonderful video, and it is heartwarming as a Kuwaiti, to see you clear with complete honesty the many misconceptions people have about our country.
Thank you for also welcoming people to kuwait with your kindness, love and advice to show that along with hospitality that's what Kuwait brings to the world internationally.
On the dl though, when you said we were mostly nocturnal people, the description was spot on but the wording made it sound like we were vampires!(هههه بس قسمرة)
All jokes aside, much love and God bless! Peace!
P.S.
Thank you for your prayer at the end, as right now because of what is happening in the world, now is the time for prayer. I won't mention it in English because I know a few people in the comment section may be affected negatively by my sentiment.( So since you have seen it plastered all over Kuwait I just wanted to say من الحركه الفلسطين و من كل أسرة .مدنية، "حرة الفلستطين
امين
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Yes PLEASE do a video on tips for teaching in the Middle East. Great video!!!!
Thanks love. I already posted it. I hope you enjoyed it and found it helpful 🥰
Thank for such experience ❤
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Yes to teaching in Kuwait content! See you in August!
♥️♥️ ok babe. Safe travels to you 😊
Moving in August so this is great :) any specific instagrams or Facebook pages to follow? I keep finding fb pages that are just ending up being people looking for maids and nannies once I get accepted into them. Would love to hear about teaching and if you’ve ever struggled with curriculum with the government rules around censorship of certain topics. My husband received a list of forbidden topics from his school.
Thanks for doing this video.
I lived in Kuwait for a year in half on business over a decade ago. I'd love to go back someday.
This video came right on time. Thanks Kiera! And yes, more teaching things.
Omg that makes me so happy to hear ☺️ and ok will do ♥️
@@thekierasheniceexperience do you have any insight on getting employment in the medical field if you aren’t a doctor? Asking for a friend. I’m trying to convince someone to move too lol
@@intergalacticbnb honestly I don’t. It’s a completely different process than it is for teaching. But id just say to start looking at places to apply and hopefully they will find something ☺️
Thanks alot for this info. Actually intending to relocate this year as a Nurse. Please what region is best for Nurses to stay in Kuwait.
Amen!!
Thank you for the video ❤I wish to get a well paying job in Kuwait but I didn't know how to go about am a Nigerians working in iraq but this place is not good 😔
Thank you for watching. Best of luck in your future endeavors :)
Amen!
What do the gyms look like in Kuwait? Are there saunas? Spas?
What is the typical cost for these services?
Can you also do a video on the clothes you wear there.
Hey love. I hope you saw the clothes videos. The gyms don't usually have saunas and they're pretty expensive here. The minimum price that I've heard for a gym membership is like 30-35KD per month which is about 100-115 USD. IDK about you, but in the states we have memberships for a little as 10$ a month. My building has a gym in it so I just use that one.
@@thekierasheniceexperienceam from kenya.i need to come n teach there.am a trained teacher of English. How can I access the job adverts.thanks.
Gyms in Kuwait are very expensive. Small ones with only equipment are around KD 40-50 a month ($$120-150). Nicer gyms with pools, saunas, jacuzzis, classes etc are KD 100/month ($330) or KD 720ish a year paid upfront ($ 2300). Gyms are ladies/men only. Mixed gyms are usually super high end with indoor and outdoor pools, beach access, jacuzzi, sauna, kids club etc. These gyms also focus on having a community feel so its a place to socialize. These are $3000+ a year, not sure about monthly options.
As for clothes... as long as its not short shorts/booty shorts, anything should be fine. Summers are HOT, cottons and linens are the best. Winters are cold but very short (1 month max). No bikinis on public beaches.. but you can wear them in private beach establishments (like the mixed gyms, beach houses etc)
Are you still in Kuwait? I should be going this August.
Also, there was a pretty cool market where you visited to purchase rugs. It was easy to get lost in. What is it called again?
It’s called the Friday Market. If you just type it into Careem (the taxi app) or tell a taxi driver they will know where to go. It’s open Friday-Sunday I believe.
Whirlwind please where are you from ?

I am an early Years teacher, a Ugandan and would love to gain the Kuwait teaching experience..... I would be grateful if you guide me through... Love u
Hey babe. The process for coming from Uganda is different than it is for coming from America. Start by checking with the Kuwaiti Ministry to see what qualifications and documentation may be needed and go from there. Or if you apply to a school and get hired, they should help you with the documentation. Best of luck. Sending love back at ya ♥️
@@thekierasheniceexperience wow, thanks sweetie 🥰🥰🥰 will do as u guided
Yes to teaching in Kuwait! I'm moving to Kuwait in July. Nervous.
It’s going to be HOT AF 😂😅 but you’ll be fine. It’s a decent country. Just like all other countries…it has its ups and downs just like everywhere else but overall it’s a nice place to live. It’s close to everything so it makes traveling more affordable and convenient and also it’s relatively safe.
You is fine
Thanks
Hlo dear I wanna come kuwait for teaching plz give me some tips to come there bcz I hve kids with me also.which can motivate bcz u r always inspiration for the women like me.
You need visa to live there.
Hi friend! I’m looking to visit Kuwait for a few days and I just found out that the visa cost is $170 usd😩Is this true? If so are there other options? I would love to do a quick video call with you if possible!! I want to discuss visas but also other travel topics regarding Kuwait. Let me know if you’d be open. Thanks so much!
Hello, good morning. I am not sure. It depends on the country you’re coming from. They used to be free for Americans. But that may have changed.
Wow if you're worried about that amount don't even think about going cheap a
@@Play4Vida😂😂😂
Please do a video on teaching in Kuwait
Will do ☺️
I heard drinking is not allowed there? Is that true? Do you find Kuwait too strict?
Kuwait is a dry country. I don't think its too strict. I think it's painted to be far more strict than it actually is.
Hard to find a place here to stay
dear please answer my question in reply plz!!
i am coming to Kuwait for a nursing job!! can i apply for family visa later??
plz answer !!
Hey love. It really depends on your sponsor. Every sponsor is different. I'd just double check with your job first. Best of luck to you!
@@thekierasheniceexperience thanks for reply sweety!!!
Mubarakheah
Is that the name of it? I thought Mubarakiah and the Friday Market were 2 different places 😅
@@thekierasheniceexperience they are different places. The great carpets are in the old soul rather than Friday Market. I have 20 of them!
Just landed in kuwait ...
Congratulations! Wish you all the best 💕
@@thekierasheniceexperience where can I find you ...
I am a young black man from The Bronx New York and I wanna move to Kuwait and drive Tractor Trailers down there. Any tips?
Heyyy. I really don’t have any suggestions as I don’t know anything about that industry. Maybe look up contracts for that type of work in Kuwait and see if that helps. Best of luck to you 🖤
@@thekierasheniceexperience Thanks i appreciate that and i will definitely do. Good luck to you down there..
You do not want to be a tractor driver here. Its way too hot. The job is not as nice as it is in the US. Pay is around $600... it would be super tough to live off that.
Unless you are a teacher, a gym trainer in a fancy gym, work in corporate or for the US governemnt, its not worth it.
@@Enne- i appreciate the comment bro.. That was thoughtful!
Is 2500 KWD with free accommodation pm good to live with family in Kuwait City?
Yes amazing even crazy good
So are there salons that service black women
Hello. Many schools are hiring on visit visa ? What do you think of it. Is it ok ? Should I believe them. Thank you 🙏
Hello 👋🏾 this is actually really normally and nothing to be concerned about. The visa process here can be very long because of the instability of the government. So a lot of schools/companies will hire on a visit visa and then convert it to a visa work visa. However please make sure you do your research because you never know.
@@thekierasheniceexperience ok, but you won’t be deported? According to the law it is illegally to work on visit visa.
@@dr.davidsaint-petersburg7746 not from what I know of. I know plenty of people who come over on a visit visa and then later get it changed to a work visa. If you decide to come over you’ll learn that there is a thing called Wasta here. And with Wasta, people can make anything happen or not happen in Kuwait. But again, I would just do your research and also make sure you have solid communication with your school’s HR liaison. Laws and rules are constantly changing in Kuwait. So it may be illegal this morning and legal by noon. I’m not trying to say anything negative about the country but it is factual that things are constantly changing here.
@@dr.davidsaint-petersburg7746 the thing would be that you have to go on what is called a visa run. Usually these happen at the company’s expense. You would have to be out of the country every 90 days for 48 hours and then re-enter on another visitor visa until your work visa is issued.
Hiii is there anyway to get the FB groups please please!! Thank you
Heyyyy. Sorry I just saw this. But yes I’ll share the link. Please know you must answer the questions in order to be approved.

How are you beautiful please tell me how can I let from Dubia to Kuwait
Hey, I’m not really sure. There are so many factors that go into that such as nationality, jobs, visa, etc.
How much do they pay for the teachers what other jobs do they have
Teachers salary vary from school to school and based on experience and other factors. There are some teachers who make 650KD and some who make 1500+
As far as other jobs, most work is contracted labor in Kuwait so they have jobs in just about every industry.
You should learn the language before you move, just respectful
I'll assume you FINALLY GOT A WORK PERMIT
Hey love. Yeah I had my work permit after my first 2 months in the country lol.
Can a single mother take her kids while she's working there?
It really depends on the job. Kuwait law says that women can’t sponsor a visa for their children. It has to be the husband. However, some jobs will allow them to be on a visitor visa which expires every 90 days and you have to leave the country for 48 hours (Visa Run). But some jobs won’t even hire single mothers at all. So it really just depends. If it helps, I do know some single mothers out here but all doing different jobs. And then there are some have had to leave their kids back home with family.
@@thekierasheniceexperience thanks. I got a teaching job but I cant leave my kids
Very good question. Thanks for the answer. I'm currently going through the interview process with a school in Kuwait now and was unaware of this!
@@chelleferguson8891 I definitely understand that. If your school knows/knew you had kids when you applied and interviewed then maybe you can negotiate something. But I would recommend speaking to your HR liaison to find out for sure.
@@mizzkay8206 make sure you make it very clear in your interview that you have children and are a single mother. And also ask if they will be able to sponsor them for their visa.
Another tip is NOT DO MOVE THERE. Why work in a country where you have no rights as an American. I was a contractor there. They money jobs pay, you can make that in the United States
How to get jobs in Kuwait?
