Omg soap vs mascara, ouch. I’d leave it to wear off (purenuffstuff might still sell reusable nappy leg offcut cotton rounds, but idk if someone else does a zero waste remover). Cold tents, memories of an extra jumper each night making no difference back in 1993 with guides. We had the big old canvas tents with wooden pegs and a mallet, are you meant to do those metal ones with a foot? So bendy. You looked a bit like a sad, frozen stuffed olive in green, but the rest seemed all right, minus the mould. Some good cooking on the newer thing than the old trangia. Good to have a friend in these situations, you have some fun bants.

You did do zero waste Taz, well done you! The plastic cap is just one of those unavoidable things that everyone faces, but you can keep the canister and refill it at the petrol station in the future, so it’s a one-off thing.
Also, even the zero waste queens use plastic, like Lauren Singer who wears contacts so needs to buy contact solution, which comes in plastic bottles. She just recycles them.
