Welcome to the first episode of our new show, 'In The Common Room With...' featuring the popular Welsh CZcamsr, ClickForTaz and her best friend and school teacher, Moon.
Each episode our host, Henrie, will be joined 'In The Common With' some of your favourite content creators and personalities, alongside their friends/family who will be discussing balancing creative careers alongside education and learning.
This new show is in partnership with The Open University, the UK’s largest university and a leading provider in distance learning and online courses. The Open University offers over 200 qualifications, all of which you can complete from the comfort of your own home or wherever you are in the world. The Open University is offering 50 UK-based Black students on lower incomes the chance to study a degree for free.
The Black Students Support Fund is part of a life-changing package of scholarships and bursaries worth more than £3 million offered by the University to address inequity in access and success in education.
If you're looking for flexibility and autonomy whilst you study, this is the uni for you.

21:01 to be honest one of the tough things about growing up is being able to fit everything you're trying to do into one space and have a genuine option to fall back into. I've always wanted to study computer science on the side in case i don't love my career in marketing (especially now that AI is taking off) maybe now i'll look into options of whats possible because right now in this day and age we don'ta ctually need to study in person and can just have more ownership over when and where we study. thanks to Taz, Moon and the host for opening up my mind to this oh and open uni as well lol good series, should do more and get other people on. maybe get nella on she actually was doing youtube from uni

I think the best thing that uni can do is expose you to people from other backgrounds. I think that's important, whether you go to uni or not, to find a way to mix with people. I grew up in quite a segregated society in belfast and went to one of the first integrated schools, but even then it was mostly all white kids. It wasn't until I went to uni in Wales that I got out of that bubble and found people to share hobbies and my creative side with.

Uni was a must, not a choice, when I was in school. Essential for success or so I was told
16:01 i was the only black person my marketing course too 😂 uni can be a mad experience especially if you're used to being around loads of diversity, probably why uni from hoem is a good option
