I noticed that too and I agree. In the OT, we all know that apart from A New Hope, it wasn't Prowse in the fight scenes, it was a stuntman and no one cared. I don't get why they are so driven on showing us the actors fighting, also Rosario Dawson is not a good swordfighter, so sometimes stunt actors are the best way to go because it can make an non-martial artist look good.

Even the first shot in this video says it all: The court room is just as devoid of any surface textures as the so called Jedi Temple in the prequels. So it looks like cheap linoleum floor with a cheap print, steps of the same material and plastic tables. It looks like a bad render of the most boring office meeting in the 80s. WHY can't there be SOMETHING tangible - stone slaps, wood, tiles, metals, anything? Architecture that looks alien. Or ancient. Or both? That's why The Foundation and even bloody Jupiter Ascending look sooo much better. Because it feels like their stuff was built by people and for a purpose. Not built on a screen as a random background. This whole universe is so sterile and lifeless now.

For what it's worth, the purple hair lady not responding and just kind of sitting there is fairly realistic and good character writing. I would find that riveting *IF* they did anything more with it. Like Ezra being much more curious and then doing a lot more from his skepticism.
There's nothing wrong with the idea of remaining silent and portraying some emotion of regret and stone walling it's more just that the delivery is VERY awkward and makes whats happening with the characters very unclear. Makes you feel like youre waiting for something to happen cause theyre just standing around weirdly, and then nothing does. Down to an issue with the actors and director, although who knows what the material the actors were working with actually said, so it could also be an issue with the writing.
Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader are looked at as being two seperate individuals .There is nothing wrong with Ahsoka remembering Anakin as the man he was and the lessons he taught her. Especially after he had already redeemed himself by killing Darth Sidious to protect Luke and returning to the light side of the force. That's why at the end of "Return of the Jedi" Anakin appeared to Luke as a force ghost right next to Obi-Wan and Yoda. Also, Moff Tarkin was the one that destroyed Alderaan, not Vader. Not to mention, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and the Jedi Council aren't blameless when it comes to Anakin falling to the dark side of the force.
The Ahsoka show ages like milk, even looking at frames from the show it feels like a low budget fan film, the writing is dogshit, there’s no suspense, feeling of dread or anything, it’s all a happy go lucky fluffy turd, Faloni did good animation wise, however his live action is fucking shit. I watched andor again and man that show is a masterpiece. I wish Tony Gilroy could’ve wrote thrawn instead of Faloni kindergarten level writing, his idiotic characters that have no development nor face any repercussions for their choices(Sabine.Map.Thrawn) like it’s fucking DOGPOO!
Sabine was insufferable and in no way acted like the many female soldiers I've served with, certainly not like the single SOF one. I made it to episode four before I threw in the towel.

Purple haired angry girl-boy, blue Elon Musk, Darth Eilish that looks like random call center employee, Ezra that looks like a stoner from some hippy comune... Ray Stevenson looks like the only believable Star Wars character here and we learn almost nothing about him. Green alien chick is thicc af tho, they sure do include a lot of shots of her back. Can't forget Ahsoka staring at things with her arms crossed and Mona Lisa smile for 5 minutes per shot to prolong the runtime.

But I don't want to care anymore. The best I can muster is to watch videos like this that summarize and critique. The sad state of DSW has smothered out any passion from when I loved Star Wars. The best thing about DSW was the incredible fanfictions that fans and talking heads on CZcams have been able to create. Some truly intelligent and soulful retelling of the DSW were made trying to make the laziest storytelling into something that captured the magic of Star Wars as it is in our hearts and minds. I think this year it's important for us to recognize "content" versus genuine Art. Disney, and by extension Marvel, are driven to make "content" that will keep the box streaming, balancing the lowest risk while appealing to the lowest common denominator. They have no concern for Art, or genuine commentary, as that has risk. Eh I'm just done with "content". Great video!

One of the dumbest things in movies and TV ever is the cliched clanky-cocking gun sound like at 8:20, when someone is pointing a gun at someone, then they point it at them harder like they really mean it, and the gun(s) make that sound. It's so stupid it takes me out of a scene any time it's used.
At 11 minutes: Thrawn's paintjob was there before Ahsoka. Everything else is pretty miserable, though. Massive missed opportunity from Filoni and they fucking murdered Timothy Zahn's boy by having him not lay out his plans at all.
At least in the prequels the political scenes had purpose. They let you know the state the galaxy was in, as well as slowly revealing Palpatine’s plan. In Ashoka they also have a purpose, but that purpose is putting the audience to sleep because these politicians are are dull, uninteresting, and straight up suffering from severe brain damage.
You realise, you can reverse your criticisms and it still make sense, prequel politics were boring too, and ahsoka politics told us the state of the galaxy too. If you're gonna hate, do it properly.
Sad thing is that Ahsoka is a great character in the clone wars and the finale that series is some of the best Star Wars ever made! When Andor proved to be unexpectedly good I had read hope that potentially this could be a great show or at least half decent. No! As someone who loved the Prequels, Clone Wars series, and Ahsoka's character, this is not what I wanted. Disney's just shifting their patronizing audience beam hoping someone will like their StarWars content after people got sick of OT nostalgia bait in the Sequel Trilogy. It was already established just how interested Disney was in the world building of StarWars way back in 2015 with The Force Awakens.

One of the dumbest things in movies and TV ever is the cliched clanky-cocking gun sound like at 8:20, when someone is pointing a gun at someone, then they point it at them harder like they really mean it, and the gun(s) make that sound. It's so stupid it takes me out of a scene any time it's used.
At 11 minutes: Thrawn's paintjob was there before Ahsoka. Everything else is pretty miserable, though. Massive missed opportunity from Filoni and they fucking murdered Timothy Zahn's boy by having him not lay out his plans at all.

At least in the prequels the political scenes had purpose. They let you know the state the galaxy was in, as well as slowly revealing Palpatine’s plan.
In Ashoka they also have a purpose, but that purpose is putting the audience to sleep because these politicians are are dull, uninteresting, and straight up suffering from severe brain damage.
You realise, you can reverse your criticisms and it still make sense, prequel politics were boring too, and ahsoka politics told us the state of the galaxy too. If you're gonna hate, do it properly.

Sad thing is that Ahsoka is a great character in the clone wars and the finale that series is some of the best Star Wars ever made! When Andor proved to be unexpectedly good I had read hope that potentially this could be a great show or at least half decent. No! With certain exceptions Disney Star Wars has been a joke, but it didn’t need to be, well done Disney for messing up a potentially great show!

As someone who loved the Prequels, Clone Wars series, and Ahsoka's character, this is not what I wanted. Disney's just shifting their patronizing audience beam hoping someone will like their StarWars content after people got sick of OT nostalgia bait in the Sequel Trilogy. It was already established just how interested Disney was in the world building of StarWars way back in 2015 with The Force Awakens.
clone wars 2d was the superior clone wars. the 3d one kinda sucks.
