What's the greatest play in FNL history?
Landry Clarke's 46 yard FG for the Lions to beat the Panthers in season 4. He finally got his last hero moment in football before graduating.
I would say Saracen's game winning pass in the pilot episode.
Give Matt Credit where credit is due. Survived 6 going down won state while surviving VooDoo and dealing with JD after the fact
This one.
All of them!!!
Doesn't matter what show or movie Kyle Chandler is in.... He's always Coach to me
Early Edition dude to me.
I really want them to make a spinoff. Have Coach Taylor given an FCS school to run for college. I'd love to see that. Have him go on recruiting trips, seeing him react to parents, his players. Think it could be awesome TV.
Billy Bob Thornton in the movie was version was more epic to me, but Kyle comes in a close second
i first saw him in Super 8 so he's Sheriff Lamb to me, but a brilliant actor nonetheless
Bomb guy from Grey's 🤣
That block alone would have gotten Saracen ass for life in that town.
Epic comment.
I always loved the relationship between Matt, Tim and Brian. Matt had so much heart! He overcome so much in order to become a better player! Stepping in for Jason was not easy feat!
This scene right here is what makes me miss high school
Chase Dionisio takes me back to a football game my junior year against our rivals who happen to be the panthers, and we ugh drove down with in the last minute and went for the two point conversion to put us in the lead. The play was fake field goal where our kicker rolled out and threw to a receiver who is the most un athletic black dude I ever met in my life. He dropped it and we lost 17-16. It sucked especially because the school made us parked somewhere else because the parking lot was going to be a festival for us after the game.
henryjw15 And that’s what I love about this show. Very relatable. Thank you for sharing!
I'm sorry.
The shot of coach as he watches the team line up for 2 is what makes this show incredible. So much said with just one look. Fills us all up with the hopeful anxiety that he had in the moment. Genius.
That's probably the same look Doug Pedersen had when they ran Philly Special against the Pats.
Thst announcer is freaking awesome
"Saracen out in front. He's now a Blocker!"
"The correct answer is: Friday Night Lights"
-Leslie Knope
"you got the play? you understand the play? get 'ir done, son. " Coach Taylor was one inspirational coach....
Riggins leaps into the endzone with the defender on the laying on the ground facing the opposite direction. Could have walked in but I'm good with the leaping dive. Nice going, great video clip!
Remember the time that the Panthers were leading in the 4th quarter? Neither do I
I came here to make this comment and I see that I already did
Yeah, when they played the Lions at the end of season 4.
😂😂😂😂😂 For a 'powerhouse' team they sure trailed a lot and needed all sorts of shenanigans to win ball games.
one thing that annoyed me during thi show was how matt got no respect from anyone. sure he wasnt the most talented but out off all the qb they tried to replace him with none of them had that clutch gene he had. everytime they needed him to do something he got it done, if thet kept him for the 2nd state championship game they would have won.
one of the best shows on tv.
Tim's helmet tilt to Lyla is so cute
I graduated from 2020. I loved athletics at my school playing volleyball and I miss it so much
I graduated in 2015, I really miss competing. Isn’t much to do now
@@cod6rox1 do u not have a job Lmao
"Boucher out in front" last game of the season, you can't hold anything back
Waterboy!
The best part is Saturday morning when the whole town is waving to him for the first time
I loved that show.
Tami later in this episode "Tell Buddy Garrity uhhhhh, HE CAN SHOVE IT." Referring to Buddy's interference with Coach Taylor by bringing Voodoo Tatum in place of Saracen. Loved hearing that.
Never seen such a run heavy team in history
2:55 the Michael Corleone diner stare
4:03
Eric and Tami hug
I will love to have a coach like Taylor
i bet coach had traumatic flashbacks seeing his qb make a big block.
Seen a bunch of guys like voodoo white black hispanic, all talent but no heart.
I think you mean All talent but no brain.
It's crazy that I now consider Aldis Hodge one of the best actors out there, and I'm genuinely excited to see him show up in anything I'm watching. But back then? I hated EVERYTHING about Voodoo. I suppose that's a testament to Hodge's acting talent all along, but damn.
he's like smash without the heart. smash was always arrogant but he always had heart. without it, he'd be voodoo. all talent, no team player/heart. it's all about him. smash wants to be the star but he cares about the team too and wants to win as a team.
Mac giving an option play says a lot about the fact that he also trusted saracen to make the right decision in that moment even though he was obviously team voodoo.
I fucking love this sport
i liked this show.
@FridayNightLights CZcams Channel please add more Matt Saracen content from seasons 2-4. Thank you :)
I need a copy of the music played during this.
You never run the ball less than a minute
“Dillon will be thrilled to get out of here with a tie”... that’s impossible because there’s overtime. Foreal that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen or heard from this show. That irks me beyond belief. There’s never a tie in Texas high school football.
Ohio boy i did not think so EITHER LOL
i want to watch
What background music is playing
Season 1, Episode 5 “Get ‘Er Done”. Go to Tunefind and look up Friday Night Lights and go to that episode and you’ll most likely find which song it is.
I love this show but the team they are playing against looks so much like my highschool football team witch is in Texas, but my school is 6a when Dillon is only 5a
At the time this show was being filmed 5A was the highest classification in TX.
Riggins = Stud
Riggings= Alcoholic womanizer and future Al Bundy.
YESSSS
Was this the game voodoo quit/got kicked off the team at halftime?
Jay Zee yep
"YOU HERE ME?!!? YOU ARE DONE SON, YOU ARE DONE!!!"
@@binarystar300 “fade to black”
Connie FTW!
What I love the most about Texas football is that TDs are worth double in the fourth quarter!
The three plays they showed would not have taken a minute since they got out of bounds on each play
you must be real fun at parties eh
Even though the clock stops. Once they move the chains the clock starts again. NFL is different
@@joshuasimber8588 not true... The clock stops if he runs out and if there is less than 2 minutes left in the half, the clock starts again on the snap. So, it's off by a lot
@@WKFootballShorts I'm just talking about HS football
@@joshuasimber8588 its the same....
That’s the wrong play. The coach called a 18. The number 1 is always the quarterback and in this case running to the 8 hole, far right side. What they actually did was run a 28.
Sean Johnson they called an 18 option... so maybe you don’t have a brain but option means the qb can keep it or pitch it
OK Mr Marino
What is the background song to this?
With tired minds, tired souls, tired eyes we slept by Explisions in the sky
@@alexandraclifton6708 It's not the same version though.
i dont get it why did they did matt dirty
All of that just to have the game forfeited 💔
im sorry but um... how is there only 7 seconds left? it went from 49 seconds to 7 seconds on two plays (BOTH WENT OUT) that took a total of 13 seconds long so it shouldve been 36 seconds left... I get it's a movie but this makes no sense
The state championship. State. All that matters is State
Who says QBs can't block
Buddy Garrity with his interference.
Wait texas high school football dose not do overtime s like college dose and Ohio high school FOOTBALL ?in ohio after 3rd ot is 2 point conversion s
High School Dramas. Where 30 year olds play 18 year olds.

@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw In the first season it was highly implied that Riggins and Lyla were seniors but they both got retroactively converted into sophomores so they could be on the show 2 seasons longer.
Joe McKim yeah that threw me off. Julie was a sophomore then made her a year younger all of a sudden.
@@AlejandroSanchez-pl6jw It's like they didn't expect the show to last more then a year or two when they started.
Jason Street and Riggins were best friends their whole lives and then Riggins is suddenly 2 years younger and his girlfriend also was 2 years younger. That's with Lyla being the head cheerleader as a sophomore.
Joe McKim interesting. Well the show is great. I say a great balance of football and drama, boss
Why would you run the ball when you’re down by 7 with 50 seconds left?
bc the defense was gassed, easy to run on
The clock stops after a first down to let the chains reset. Gives about 5-10 seconds of stoppage to get a play together
@Bryan Halstead Also because they knew that the defense was gassed and couldn't stop them.
Plenty of time to move the chains and you also avoid the risk of throwing an interception or incomplete pass. And like others are saying the defense was tired and it was the best move... have you ever played football before? And there was a pass to start things off also.
When your RB is a 5 star recruit level talent.
It's basically what has taken the place of Christianity in Texas. I am not saying that's bad. But yeah.
…and then the game gets thrown out because of VooDoo..
This show was so corny
Bet both you idiots watched it all though
You are!
