I’ve been hearing plumbing companies near me are strapping on restoration. Another hand that feeds. I’ve been thinking about learning the plumbing skill set and thinking about pursuing education. I’m just launching a business in water restoration.

Welcome to the industry. If you are just now launching I suggest you just focus on water for now. There is enough work out there for you to hit critical mass without jumping into plumbing right now
I do both we were a restoration company who started doing plumbing with home warranty companies
How is it working?
It’s workin its a lot of work but I buy plumbing leads and use the leads from the warranty company and make it all work I used a ton of information from your team and had to make a way because my market is super saturated with restoration companies it has also given us the opportunities to get into commercial restorations .
We’re not alone out here. Everyone’s feeling the squeeze right now!
Love the idea of buying plumbing leads. Water damage leads online are crazy out here $450-$600 for a possible sale. Plumbers are $1000 a sold lead. Control the market and make it work in your favor.
Restoration and Plumbing are not going to merge out in Portland for awhile because plumbers are a dying breed so they control the company and the referrals. If a plumber doesn’t get the spiff they will drag 3-5 plumber coworkers to a new company for that spiff.
