J8. Billiards: Collisions in Two Dimensions

We analyze collisions on the pool table in general. Here is where a ball collides with a stationary ball and they both move afterwards since the initial ball does not hit head on. We show that for balls of equal mass, as is the case with pool, that the two balls travel at a 90-degree angle after the collision.
