  • Neil takes a ride in a New Holland T5.120 with an Electro-Command transmission and shows off the luxuries associated with this type of transmission. The smooth transition between both gears and ranges can make this mid-range utility tractor a great option for small hay farms and operations that frequently utilize their loader

Really? I knew their tractors were pretty nice and I see a lot of their hay equipment in my area but I’ve never seen one of their skid steers up close in person.
Back when I was looking around I thought the cat and John deer skid steers were about as good as it got.
Guess it doesn’t matter to me anymore since I found out I could only afford a compact Kubota anyway.

Best tractors is a strong statement. If money talks I would go for a Valtra with the TwinTrac (you can drive "both ways"), if money is no object I would go gor a Fendt. But that's just me...

Yes, the Lambo he has got is big. Though I don't know how expensive it is or how "good/great" it is, for me up here in Finland Lambo and tractors are two words nearly ever used in the same sentence.
But I don't have any experience with (quad or twin) tracs either so there is a big possibility that I am wrong. This is my opinion and not the absolute truth 🤭🤣. For forest use I have seen some interesting tractors from central europe where they have steaper hills than we have here...

I am a very big fan of New Holland Equipment for haying, and the tractors are in my top three favorites. I just worry that Fiat will get greedy or even goofy and make New Holland the red headed step child. So many big corperations and investment companies drown good names and products to the point of death. For now I will keep running New Holland equipment and leaning towards them because my dealer is awesome. Should Fiat screw over New Holland, I'll be making more trips to our local Agco dealer again. The locale Agco dealer is OK, but they have not been nearly as friendly as the New Holland dealer and New Holland as a business.

Fiat has been involved for almost 25 years now. We feel good about the current crop of executives and like the way they seem to be steering things.

@@MessicksEquip thank you for your response, I have had nothing but good experiences. I drive a Ram truck and love the new Holland equipment. Both Ram and New Holland are star companies to work with for me ao far. The world has been crazy the last few years, and I've had some bad experiences with other manufacturers. Your comment is appreciated, if Messick's is comfortable and happy with New Holland/ Fiat I can feel comfortable.

    • @BillTheTractorMan

@@claetuswoodroofe1854 agreed. Fiat has done some really good things for Chrysler, Case/IH, New Holland, and other businesses. My basis was as companies combine and change ownership, usually names fall off and brands get combined. Like White Motor company did to Oliver and Minneapolis Moline. Eventually White ended up in a bad place and is now almost extinct if it were not for Agco keeping the profitable scraps.

@@MessicksEquip no truer statement there. As my own mechanic, every thing I own needs serviced for basic maintenance and repairs. I have old stuff and new stuff, it all breaks and needs attention. Something a lot of people lose sight of is electronic components wear out too. Nothing in this world man made or nature made will last forever without change.
