Either in each of those sports or overall, who was the closest to being a competent and successful head coach here? What was, in your mind, missing?
5:33 Y'all discussed the number of OVs coming in this weekend and the risk/reward that has for the staff. How do you think the transfer portal plays into this number? A guy like Cunningham seems to be a lock for Miss State, but I wonder if bringing him in could be related to keeping that relationship on top of mind if something were to cause him to transfer. Basically, are we recruiting kids from this class for both this upcoming signing day and for the years to come?

what do you think Florida State does on Friday? Arnold is their dude, but he went on Saturday last weekend, and Dorsey went on Friday. Do you think they switch up their rotation?

Are expectations too high for Nico going into this season? I think he will be a good quarterback this season, but it feels like there is an assumption by a lot people that he will be an All-SEC level type player immediately. The talent is obvious but he is still relatively inexperienced.

I'm piggybacking off of a question that was asked last week. Someone wanted to know the best recruiting class in Tennessee history. Brent_Hubbs said he thought the '97 class was up near the top. Going a little deeper in that class, was Dominique Stevenson just as good or better than Jamal Lewis as a running back?

Top tier NIL collective and it feels like pulling teeth to sniff the top 10. Probably will never get to top 5. What’s the deal with that? Every summer there are recruits that should be coming here and last second they aren’t. Culture culture culture has been put down our throats. You can have culture and very good classes. Both are true. So what is the deal, why are we holding ourselves back?

Does the noon-1 mean that the start time is anywhere between those hours, 3:30pm-4:30pm and 6-8pm? Will it stagger based on ABC, ESPN, ESPN, SEC network. Meaning one network could be 12, 3:30pm, 7pm. Another could be 1, 4:30pm, 7:30pm? Will Tennessee also always have one SEC+ game per year?

Peyton was great his Sophomore year. The great ones will always be great. Is Nico great? All of the indications are there. I believe.
Butch had our best recruiting classes In a long time, even higher ranked than some Heupel is getting
Butch made promises he didn't intend to keep, just to get commitments.
People forget about guys named Marcus mariota andMicheal Vick. They burst on the scene as redshirt freshmen. They were generational talents, as is Nico. I've seen this before. Nico is a bigger version of Mariota. He can be elite right away. The talent surrounding him is a big help as well.

We don’t have to be Georgia for me to love my Vols. We’re highly competitive with everyone on our schedule and on the rise with recruiting. That’s pretty exciting.
Labeling athletes efforts as unsuccessful is worthy of a coach going off on whoever (especially when the team is conference champions).

I saw a practice video of O’Neil going off on Aaron Green. Hubbs story doesn’t shock me at all.

Butch is the answer and he could lack self awareness and all that, but what he lacked more than anything was impact DTs. If he had DTs that played anywhere close to All-SEC level then it would have been a very different story.
I bet if Butch could go back and redo his tenure at UT, his first hire would have been Rodney Garner and he would name a building after him and make him the nation's highest paid assistant coach to get him.

Butch firing strength and conditioning coach was a huge mistake! That was the beginning of the end!
Vols had the ball and a lead against Alabama in 2015 with less than 3 minutes in the game and lost
Fulmer and Cutcliffe thought Mark Levine was better than Jamal Lewis.
Guiantano as a 5 star was similarly ranked and he was a bust. I think the difference though is the coaching staff now and then!!!
I think coaching is a part of it, but I just think that Nico is way more mature than Jarrett was
