- The Tennessee Volunteer fandom has went through a lot in the last 16 years. Ever since Phillip Fulmer left as head coach, the Volunteer program was not in a great position. Shuffling through coaches such as Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, Butch Jones, and Jeremy Pruitt, the Vols couldn't seem to get it right in Knoxville. Until Josh Heupel stepped into the mix, the Tennessee faithful didn't dream of knocking off Nick Saban and the Tide. Brent Hubbs from VolQuest joins us to detail this massive Tennessee victory on a Saturday night in Knoxville.

Hubbs is the type of genuine human being that we woefully miss these days. I literally subscribed to him and Volquest when I was 12. I’m staring down 40, and he’s still the best in the business.
I did watch the game highlights after this video as andy suggested, and mann...what a game that was....im not even a tenneessee fan and i remember where i was and what i was doing during that game...i miss college football!!
I was at the bama 22 game. The anticipation, the intensity of the game from a crowd perspective, and the dramatic finish was so overwhelming it is hard to describe. It was like the shock and shakes you get from a near-miss potential car accident but in a great way. Never felt anything like it. My daughters 1st game. She may never see a better one.
Your daughter will never forget that game I hope that she cherishes that game and that memory for life I hope when I bring my daughter to her first game it's something close to that
My favorite part of this game was how the Bama players came in nervous, not chirping, silent. They knew, and their worst fears came true. TN did that with 65 scholarship players in Heupel's second year on a team that had considerably less depth. So yes, it could happen again this year and if all goes right, won't be as close.

It's definitely in the top few games in Tennessee history. I'd put '98 Florida, 01' Florida, and '22 Bama. Honorable mention to the Sugar Vols.
Field storming is AOK until Tennessee beats Bama. Then the most benign event becomes "dangerous".
