I always find Jon's decision to hand the show down to Trevor as a good choice, but now I really respect Jon's decision. He knows who can make the show as light as he initially wanted to.
Ringo Brat I had no idea how much the show was Jon’s until I read his book. So I definitely have an appreciation for how good Trevor is, in front of the camera and during the day.

I would be glad to change the rule of Presidents having to be born in this country, if Trevor wanted to be the President. We could have a new rule: Presidents must have a sense of humor.
Trevor is a fine speaker. Dude speaks in sentences and paragraphs. If you listen carefully, there are semi-colons.

I love how diverse their cast is. A white man and woman, a black man and woman, a black african host, and an asian man. Like there are no duplicate ethnicity/sex combos represented.
A biracial African host no less (Xhosa/Swiss)
Trevor Noah is the kindest comedian to make it by roasting news. He has more optimism and consideration for his opposition than Republicans have for their own self critics.
Honestly, especially after listening to Trevor talking about his view towards anger and his viscerality about his character on the show, I can appreciate his work and personality to an even greater extent.
Kian Blackey I can't agree more. I now see that difference is a big part of why I love Trevor Noah's work much more than John Stewart's. It's not a criticism, it's just the feeling is surprisingly different.
I could listen to Trevor talk about any subject for hours. Such a great team of diverse points of views helping to build one of the most culturally rich shows on a daily basis.

I am also ashamed of my apprehension when Jon handed the show to Trevor. I can't help but feel like my unrecognized racial bias played a part in my apprehension. I have never been more happy to be wrong. Trevor has been a voice for the people this country desperately needs and I am incredibly ashamed of just how wrong I was about him. Thank you, Trevor. You made the Daily Show into something bigger than just Jon Stewart's platform for political criticism.
He has an incredibly clear pronunciation, kind of elegant accent. When you listen to him you reckon that is an intelligent person. His voice turns into anybody's voice, presenting serious issues in a way you can't have any other reaction than laughing. Never die Trevor.

He is just an intellectual which is refreshing to an intelligent audience! America is use to profanity and mediocrity which has resulting in the exploitation of the masses!
Interesting - when Trevor performs on the international stage, he uses no profanity. However, he occasionally drops the ‘f-bomb’ on the Daily Show. I believe this is done to hook the low IQ audience just a bit longer for ratings.
Understand, there are more low IQ (60) Americans as compared to average IQ (75). If the daily show looses these low IQ audience members, ratings will go to hell!
These low IQ audience members are called ‘Consumers’ The average IQ audience members are called ‘Producers’. Try to delineate the two groups when you return to work.

They feel so much like real journalist in so many ways. It's hard to think of them as comedians, sometimes.
Funny how news and comedy news are both driven by entertainment value=viewership, but the message The Daily Show brings, through intent, is warmer and more pleasing than the actual news channels that also need our ratings.
This team reminds me of X-men, combination of strong individuals with their specific character but work in harmony. Kudos!

I was just thinking back to when I was in H.S. and how fortunate I was to find Stewart's show. It introduced me to politics and social issues at a crucial time in my life, and I am a better person for it. His work informed and entertained many young people; I feel like he really engaged many and it is slowly starting to pay off. I wish he would run for office, it would really help channel this energy into action.

This was awesome and I enjoyed the interplay with the whole staff. no wonder I like the show so much.
I wish I could've commented when this came out originally. This was awesome! The only thing I regret about this interview was that Michael Acosta was not brought in to the conversation more, at all, but specifically into the conversation about working with such a diverse group, foreign and originating here. He is the only non-minority on the stage. I thought the gravity of the Daily Show's ability to include everyone's perspective was somewhat diluted by the fact that he was seemingly excluded to the point that the cameraman excluded him from the view of the stage at points. Trevor Noah was the only one to mention his value to the group and I now wonder if he is undervalued, especially when his main role is cast as a stereotypically "dim" white American male.
Trevor says that it's because of the Daily Show. Well I watch The Daily Show because of Trevor Noah. He is so witty.
