About The Daily Show:
Trevor Noah and The Daily Show correspondents tackle the biggest stories in news, politics and pop culture.
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central. - Komedie
"Ironically, we're the comedy show that has a Fact Checker...and then there's so many news shows that say whatever they want"
THIS!!
When John Stewart left and Trevor took over, I was wary. I found it difficult to think anyone could replace John. But Trevor has not just replaced him, but has made the show his own and taken it to another level. Love his insight and his approach to hard issues and hard questions. He's wicked smart, he's never cruel and his experience growing up in South Africa, brings depth to these conversations and shows how universal so many of the issues we face are today.
Well said..👍😂🙏😇
It took a minute to get his groove. I'm so glad CC gave him the time to build.
Great comment Linda. Exactly how I felt at first.
Now Trevor is one of my most anticipated and loved news /comedy shows I look forward to.
I love his personality, his humanity, His intelligence and wit.
You can easily tell after watching his shows for a while that he is a genuinely decent person. Love him so much

I tend to forget how smart Trevor is. He is brilliant. Great job to Arsenio, always a great interviewer.
L lol
My favorite characteristic of Trevor Noah is his ability to think analytically about almost everything. He's brilliant.
I agree with you 1000%, you hit the nail right on the head!
What shines through when you listen to Trevor is his Humanity - he carries the torch that there is hope for humanity.

This is one smart man talking to another smart man...this is as close to art as you get,
It's beautiful!
And he’s like, “I’m proud of you” and the other is like, “thank you for being a pioneer and role model”
More than smart. Wise.

Give Threvor all the awards there are! Everything he says is gold! It sounds like all the best writers worked a long time on it - but that's just the way he talks! That's so impressive.
I am moved to tears by this interview.
I wish my kids grow-up to be as wise, compassionate and thoughtful as you Trevor. Hello from France

COMPLETELY agree🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
Same 👏
Hello, France!
Very kind words to say. You could not have chosen a better role model.
Texas Mexican.
When I first saw Trevor as the host, I immediately thought “he is no Jon Stewart”. The difference? I remember Jon Stewart not being Jon Stewart when HE started. So, I thought he needed a chance, because (1) Jon thought he was the best choice, and (2) he seemed like he had a lot of talent.
Really glad to say that he far exceeded my high expectations (esp. during the Pandemic), so I am happy CC gave him the time he needed.
It’s not about your expectations, no one has to meet your expectations
Did not know how much I needed to watch this interview. So much class, respect, humility and brilliance on display.
What a wonderful interview! I feel optimistic listening to Trevor and Arsenio. And Trevor and his team bring so much heart and humanity.💗🙏
It reminds you, we’re all connected and all have our contributions to the society we all live in.
Trevor hit on something soooo important, with the arsenio interview- if they’re scared, can you imagine how afraid people on the street are- just to have these explosive conversations/topics.
The genius of Jon Stewart is on display everytime Trevor Noah gets in front of a camera. This kid is something else. He is intelligent, kind-hearted, and Hilarious. Thank you Jon Stewart for finding this guy....and Thank you Trevor for being you and the work you put in for us.👍👌🙏
A true gem. Trevor is unique. Absolutely LOVE him 🙏🏻❤️🤩

I love this conversation. Trevor always drops so many gems: "Let the hoodie be in a space where it doesn't necessarily belong, until it does. Let the hair be in a space it doesn't belong, until it does. This is who I am". 💖💖
Finally, someone talking about the ridiculousness of the “suits and tie” rule determining your professionalism!! I’ve been fighting it for years.
Not Happy About Covid But The Job I Was Doing From Home In Kentucky, Getting Criticized For By People Making 3x Times My Salary Before (They Had To Go To Work), I Now Work & Live In New York, Making 2/3 To Half, If They Even Have a Job, Working From The House; The IRONY.
i agree but to a limit you know? you can wear a hoodie but if it's got food stains, grab something clean, or if you're wearing a tshirt make sure it's not covered in wrinkles bc presentation is about showing the "other person" that you value their attention & time. if you put in the least possible effort, it comes off as disrespectful. i guess if you'd wear it on a date it's presentable enough for me
Even our conditioning has been conditioned.
@@carols.8103 Just because it's a hoodie or a shirt why would someone show up to work like that. Those things are unacceptable with anything your wear in a business.. Clothes should present clean and hopefully wrinkle free. lol.
@@flipmode7
Because retail sales. Depending upon customer demographics suit tie jacket may elicit distrust whereas a hoodie or Hawaiian shirt would signal “we’re of the same tribe”
I bought that burgundy hoodie last November and named mine Trevor. Of all the colors he wore during the pandemic, this one was my favorite. So I squealed a little when I saw Trevor wearing Trevor. Great interview, TN is an amazing, thoughtful, self-aware, compassionate, well-spoken individual.
This has to win an Emmy. This interview is so incredible and intersectional. We need more people to be able to witness these types of conversations between such incredible, intelligent, empathic people.
That was brilliant when Trevor encouraged young people to work at the polls. Arsenio is a really great interviewer.
Yes. Arsenio is really a great interviewer
Arsenio might have a future in interviewing.
Arsenio is a comedian & comedians are insightful, which is why they make us laugh no matter where we’re from or who we are.
That insight is also a skill needed by a great interviewer.
I was thinking the same. Great interview(er).
I know, right? I'd forgotten. He's awesome at what he does.
I’m so inspired by this interview. Arsenio did an excellent job with his questions, teasing out things you’d not ordinarily talk about. Trevor saying he left home only to end up in the same place- referencing black lives matter cause is so profoundly sad, because police violence is a reality for us here in Africa (Nigeria). And his response about wearing hoodies, afro hair is the truth!
How did u comment 2 months ago ?
@@FGvids witchcraft
@@FGvids It was so relevant a comment it went back in time to make sure more people could read it XD
Arsenic is an even better interviewer than he was in the past. Would love to see him more often.
I can't speak to the African experience, I've only been there once (riding on the coattails of a wealthy Brit cousin, so to an extent, we got the colonial experience in Kenya - I'm sorry), but I'm sad to hear that police violence is a problem there, too. I tend to think that it is mostly a white-on-black problem here, but in Nigeria, that wouldn't be the case. Power corrupts, regardless of color, apparently.
But, on a positive note, I so agree with you on Arsenio. His questions revealed nuggets about his experiences, how things have changed over time, and gave Trevor a great springboard. When Arsenio had his show, I completely took him for granted. I see now how unenlightened I was. Funny how I completely get the mistrust of police (my first bad interaction with police was when I was about 9), but I never thought about the difficulties of dealing with executives who didn't understand Black culture and how to promote the artists and issues his audience cared about.
Trevor Noah is a man with a face that expresses freedom, truth and courage, that s all I've ever seen. you are an inspiration. Thank you
I’ve seen plenty more than that 😘

As someone who's been watching the daily show since I was 9 ( of my own choice, no one showed my comedy central and I'm 24 rn). I've been wanting this interview for a long time. I genuinely love what Trevor has been doing. Please keep on keeping on
Trevor's hair is one of my favorite things to come out of the Pandemic. I think his fro looks plenty professional.
His hair is beautiful. I love it.
The only thing is I would like to see a little shape, But I agree! His fro is amazing
@@r.leighmorgan it has a shape. And he also has a lining. I'd assume he does it himself. The way his hair is now is so great because this shape shows his natural curls and how they grow.
II like his fro also but I do think it could use a little more shape. Back in the day, in the 70’s, our fros were shaped. We used the combs to blow them out and shaped them. Still took a lot of maintenance, as all natural hair does. Today people just seem to let their fros go whichever way they want. Not criticizing them, just saying it was different than today.
My favorite is when he wears it like this, but he also shapes it too. It just depends on the day.
This was a beautiful interview!! It's the integrity for me. 🤗

My Dad loved watching Trevor Noah so much, that when he and I were on our daily evening phone calls, I'd get the boot 2 minutes before Trevor came on. He passed in April 2021 and Trevor was mentioned in his obituary. He really loved the show and faithfully watched.

Arsenio is a WONDERFUL human being. In those days of “The Arsenio Hall Show” show I had a small business in California , which was growing , and whenever I was in LA his people made sure that I was in the audience, if I wanted to be. They never turned me down, and I took many friends there. I am forever grateful.
We were a FIRST together , and we had no real sense for how amazing the things we were doing really were.
It is refreshing to hear from and to see arsenio again. I want more of arsenio.
I love the love for humanity in this conversation, speaking to a diverse array of people who want to use their minds as well as they do
Seeing Trevor and Arsenio together. The brotherhood is apparent. Great interview! Love the both of you! You have both had a great impact on culture at your own time and continue to.
You look fine to me Trevor. Hoodie and afro and a very animated passionate face - smiles all the way through tears. Suit is optional.
One of the BEST conversations I’ve ever heard in any media platform. Instead of using the platform for frivolous or meaningless games etc. the audience actually learns something from this. I get a huge feel of humility and compassion from this conversation.
Your face when Arsenio said he saw your first stand up.....Like Mum had just said your hand painting from Nursery school was beautiful..
13:00 "I wanted to break _Don't Be Cruel_ and _My Prerogative_ by Bobby Brown. And, um, an executive from Paramount looked at me and said, 'I'm sure she's very talented, but I don't know if she can hold _two_ songs.'"
😲 Dude didn't know his Bobby Brown? I mean _those_ are some _awesome songs!_

Be real, acknowledge your weakness
See and bring out the light in others
Know your people
Know your market
Don't run away from real and though conversations
Be genuinely interested in others, you can't fake it.
Never think you know it all
Be humble enough to manage the spotlight
Learn to accept both criticism and praise.
