I remember when Jon left feeling that no one could take his place. I love Trevor so much, I feel he has done so much with this show, what a great choice. I get the ability to laugh but also learn about different topics both at home in the US and across the globe.
I felt no one could replace Craig Kilborn. Took about a year to warm up to babyface shy John in oversized suits.
Yet it worked out. Everyone brings something unique to the show, like Dr. Who, which is what makes each change great.
Jon Stewart spoke truth to the people in power, Trevor Noah kisses ass. Unfortunately, Jon's seat is still empty.

A podcast-style video will tend to attract a more dedicated audience, which is why you are seeing only nice comments.
The normal Daily Show content usually gets shared around on Twitter, reaches trending etc. which is why the comments on those videos are quite shitty.

Yeah. But what's interesting to see here is that it's not just him but the whole staff that makes the show. You can easily think this is all the host but it's really the whole team that continues on after Jon Stewart. Trevor is perfect with his effortless humor with guests and standup, but he also got incredibly lucky with inheriting a team like this.

I agree. Don't no where to comment. So do disguise my comment as an answer. I hopped on the daily show because of corona and got stuck esp. When president Trump came into the team 😊 This comedy is much faster than comparable stand-ups in Germany. I just let the thoughts in so they make me think. It's like an automatism. I had brain surgery 2 years ago and Trevors brainstorming is a good training for me brains (what's left of it😊). Just letting ones thought out what is looked down upon often in daily life as "slip of the tongue". I am flabbergasted from show to show. Carry on, please. It helps very much to see the world from different angles😊 Love it, thanks!!!

I'm always impressed with "Between the Scenes" because it's not so planned and preconceived - and it's impressive how Trevor thinks deeply off-the-cuff,
I feel like the moderator was just really unprepared. Maybe I'm being unfair, but that's how she comes off.
I got the feeling they were all joking back and forth and she tried to joke back with them, but she's not a comedian and her comments fell flat. It was off-putting, in the least, because they were taking everything she said seriously because she always sounded serious, regardless what she was saying. The moderator probably should have stuck to asking the questions and let them be funny without trying to join in. It threw the conversation off.

I was a very embarrassed when she said "sorry" for the "black oppression" thing about 10 mins in.
Everybody was awkward and tense, don’t know why.
These videos always have so many comments like that, even when the moderator/interviewer is perfectly fine, and I think it's hilarious and sad. It's like we all sit at home and imagine ourselves talking to our favorite celebs and how we'd "really connect" and have amazingly meaningful and hilariously witty exchanges coz we "get it". Not like we'd all be a thousand times more awkward and tense than anything we'll ever watch.

One thing I will have to disagree with is that there were not things to be "outraged" about before Trump as well. Most of which are the same things before Trump, people are just paying attention and acknowledging it more largely because of camera phones and social media. Its not just 1 "incident" that is seen and swept under the rug, I.e. Rodney King. Its Multiple acts of injustices on multiple levels that are no longer allowed to stay in the shadows. It has become almost impossible to ignore injustices happening to others now, unless you choose to ignore it.
The HOST--she sure needs to calm down and smile a bit,.everyone else in the room is friendly and positive!

I think she was trying hard at times to be funny or be comedic. Kind of trying to join in the jokes with the staff, but it didn’t come across authentically.

Must to say I like how good constructive and meaningful is Trevor's speach. Many interesting things was told. Thankful for sharing. It seems the interviewer didn't get much of it or she just was jealous. Besides, it was almost the same pleasure and curiosity to see and to know such awesome team he was lucky to get.
