- The team at Snow Valley Mountain Resort has been hard at work clearing snow and preparing the trails for opening day tomorrow! The majority of the work has been done on Bandit, and let me tell you guys THE BERMS ARE BIG! With only 7 days of dirt work, they have completely changed the character of this trail. Spoiler alert: it may be my new favorite trail from the top now.

Awesome! I will be there tomorrow, I was a bit worried that the new builders would widen it, it makes it seem almost like a green now, but if they are making the trails wide and flat, I am wondering how Gun Smoke, Quick Draw, and Crazy Horse will be, nice video 👍🏼
First off, something I learned was that the trails weren't wide enough to run larger equipment on. So the reason that the actual width of the trail changed was so they could fit larger equipment on the trails to build at a faster rate. With the terrain in the area, I think it is likely that just a couple months into the season the trails will reduce in width dramatically. Nature is pretty aggressive with reducing the size of trails, and I think its a worth it for berms that won't explode on first tire tracks.
@@SingleTrackSurgeon thats true! I am just a bit bummed because that was what made Snow Valley unique and now it just looks like a mini jumpline trail with no jumps, I know that they dont have anything right now because they got it up wicked fast from all the snow, I will be there tomorrow and hopefully that changes my perspective I have right now
Not feeling great about these changes, but I'll wait to ride it. I liked how you had to pick your line before. This looks more like a freeway. Given bandit wasn't my favorite but it looks like it lost it's charm in this video.
Keep in mind, it will evolve as the season progresses and nature takes a lot of it back. It looks more barren because the had to use larger machines to build up all of the berms. I think they are all really positive changes.
