    In this episode we explore the wave principle, also known as the beauty curve and how it applies to animation. We talk about the S & Z shapes and how they form looping, natural movement regardless of the complexity of your 2D or 3D animation.
    Useful for hair, waves, capes, clothes and a myriad of other examples!

    "this is what happens when you do animation, you go ever so slightly insane. but that's okay, we don't mind"
    words to live by. 100% accurate.

      Thankyou so much, but as long as it remains possible to do so, I'll be releasing all my tutorial content for free here on CZcams. I don't want to charge people for my content. I do have several multi-episode series on the channels that go into details for motion graphics and animation so make sure to check them out.

    Thank you very much for this video!! I have to animate a flag, but can't use the "Wave warp" effect (After Effects) because it's gonna be a Lottie File. I need to do it manually and I was SO lost, so thanks for this ♥

    What can the wave principles of animation have to do with squash and stretch animation principles?

    • @TipTut
      @TipTut  Před 3 lety +4

      Everything! At the peak of a wave, your object might squash or stretch based on the direction, speed and forces applied to it. If it's being dragged it will stretch on the way down a wave. If it's being pushed, it will squash on the way up etc.
