The reason is, why she sounds better live than in a studio: She can sing. All singer who can sing, sound live much better than in a studio. Just listen to Adele, Whitney, Barbra Strisand, Celine Dione, Aretha Franklin, Patty LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Amy Whinehouse and so on, also Lady Gaga. They all can sing. Sure some of them i listed, they are much better than Lady Gaga.

I thought I'd seen everything Faouzia! How did I miss this one? :-) She's definitely one of Canada's hidden treasures. I hope everyone else catches up soon. This talented young artist deserves all the fame in the world. If she wins a Juno this year, maybe she'll find a broader audience. Especially if she performs at the ceremony.

I'm sure that's what she did on her 19th birthday at the 4k seat Auditorium Stravinski in Switzerland. Spotlights. Faouzia. Grand Piano..Stunning vocals. Powerful lyrics. To die for.
Unfortunately, because of Covid, she had to cancel at least 2 concerts in Canada and 1 in Egypt that was probably going to be the start of a series of concerts. From clips I've seen, when Faouzia's on stage she own it. Need to see her perform live.

I know she has her own style. But vocally reminds me of Cher, Shakira and Diana Ankudinova. The instrumentals of My Heart's Grave make me feel I'm listening a song produced between Imagine Dragons and Adele. Don't take this too seriously. Actually Faouzia really like and is inspired by Sia, Adele, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Arabian artists 👌

She is North African. and got some taste of Arabic-Indian-Spanish Flamengo. having an Indian taste in your songs doesn't make you Indian. same applies to the middle east. and she may or may not be even arab because in morocco there is a good amount of population that are not even close to being Arab. called Amazigh.
