So glossy is better
You put all other glossy vs matte screen videos to shame.
When Vincent talks I listen.
I Love Glossy
ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG Review would have been a better title right?
Glossy or nothin. I wont have my inky blacks ruined by a matte coating
I just ordered the XG27AQDMG after watching this video, I was impressed.
Gloss is boss!
Whichever gets better inky blacks...otherwise, just get a super bright lcd
Imagine smearing vaseline all over your monitor only to get a worse image and have reflections smeared all over the screen.
slick hair Vincent
What's interesting to me is that the reflection on the glossy QD-OLED, although clear, looks so much darker than the others.
I had a 50" rear projection TV with a lenticular screen many years ago. I added a sheet of industrial-grade polythene over the screen, enhancing the sense of depth in the picture!
Thank you so much for your hard work Vincent, you are appreciated 💖
It took me forever to notice that he did not talk about the coatings anymore, because he smoothly transitioned to other topics :D
This man is the best when it comes to reviewing displays and its not even close
So glad to finally see glossy finishes hitting OLED monitors. Hope they bring it to 4K WOLED monitors next. I've been looking into the MSI MPG 321URX, but it'd be nice to have a similar glossy MLA/WOLED option.
The VRR being enabled below the refreshrate is due to LFC. (Low Framerate Compensation) Not all monitors have this but those are mainly early freesync models which are not being made or sold for years now.
