- On Europe's biggest stage, Benfica & Ajax meet in the Round of 16 on Wednesday night in Lisbon. Two clubs and a competition that are all built on history. In this collaboration with Benfica, we prepare for an extraordinary evening.

Overrated players, both played in a time when most leagues were semi pro football, both of them wouldn't stand a chance against the pro's now practicing 6 times a week, when Ajax won the CL in 71 the next day the players were working in their stores, that says enough about how sad football was back then

Het mooie aan deze wedstrijd is, ongeacht de winnaar, een van deze prachtige clubs gaat door naar de volgende ronde. En eigenlijk gun je het beide clubs, want dit soort clubs hebben we toch veel liever op het hoogste strijdtoneel dan City, Chelsea of PSG...

Hopelijk krijgen we vanavond de ''Tadic-Gambit'' te zien.
Heel mooi gemaakt, en weet je wat, ongemerkt begon ik traantjes te laten, maar goed, ik heb dan ook die 3 beroemde wedstrijden in 1969 live mogen zien (live op tv dan hoor) in de sneeuw, in Parijs, 2 x 3-1 en die ene 3-0 voor Ajax!!
