@Jane Crawford yeah I realise that man and I don't hate the game for doing that but I would've really liked the game to show a post calamity hyrule and a few dialogue changes here and there and maybe incorporate a time travel rune or something in case you wanna fight Ganon. Again I realise botw 2 is gunna come out but jus saying I'd have like the game to do something of that sort
I agree. I would’ve also liked to see a world without Ganon... I personally have no interest in fighting the boss over and over on a single save file

@@dorlislechien4819 of course they "took it and now it's normal", that's how language evolved. Languages influence each other. Like the French word week-end, which is exactly the English word weekend, but made part of the french language. That makes it a french word, no matter where it's originally from.
Bravo is also not french, but italian. You "took" it and it became normal.
Some words just are the same in multiple languages.

I wish there was an addition to the game where after you beat Calamity Ganon, you have the option of finishing side-quests while exploring the world when it's rebuilt or semi-rebuilt. So you can see things like this in Hyrule Castle, as well as other places in the world in its glory. But, I presume that's asking for a little much, the game itself is amazing and I've replayed it twice. Can't wait for the second one.
To be fair, I don't think a post game has ever really been implemented in any Zelda game.

What the Postgame should’ve been. A way to explore the most interesting place on the map without having to worry about enemies. Imagine all guardians deactivated. The malice plaguing the land, gone. And the princess visits different locations like peach in Mario odyssey. Also the divine beasts are deactivated, at rest.
It should’ve happened after the game is 100% or after all the shrines are completed

I think the post game should have been rebuilding hyrule castle or just hyrule itself. Maybe there would be little quests where you had to get materials for the people to help them rebuild everything.
They could've had an excuse like with the NDC Festival where you'd talk to some specific person in the castle, they say,
"I wonder what this place was like 100 years ago... Do you have wish to remember the ruined Hyrule?
-> Yes
No
Then it would take you back to the ruined hyrule.

@@simplyunchara I was going to answer to this ironically but I just realized that college and universities if you do this kind of thing and you suppossedly didn't give credit even if you didn't know somebody had credit for that idea before you get kicked out, I don't really know because I don't want to try it out, but it's kinda messed that instead of there being warnings or penalties I just guess you get screwed.

age of calamity's scale is...way smaller than botw's. makes sense though, considering how many damn polygons they had to load onscreen all at once.
Its both smaller and weirdly... larger larger in the scope that we see more but smaller in the scope of what to do

I love that the longer you look at Link the more mods you see. The Nokia Sheikah slate is a nice touch. 👌
The best part to me is that this actually looks like an AMAZING setting for a more traditional LoZ storyline. The games that have a more linear story and you only get to visit the castle 2/3 of the way into the game and you get to explore it in times of peace right before shit hits the fan and the castle becomes ground zero for conflicts of biblical magnitude.

Well, the malice sound effect doesn't come from the malice, the sounds are attached to the places where the malice would be in the normal game.

That the pianist has been playing the castle theme for 100 years. Special props to our Piano boi for playing the piano in Hyrule castle for 100 years straight.

I've always wondered what Hyrule Castle would look like restored, and I was disappointed that no one had tried to make a mod of that yet (either that, or doing so was so complicated that it took a long time, which I can definitely believe, and is probably what happened here), and you delivered! :D
I will say though that there are some details in this that make it pretty imperfect, and I would hope this is still a work in progress, but man, this is still really good! You even have guards stationed, the king, the ability to talk to them and everything!
This must've taken a lot of work to reimagine what all of this used to look like! And even though I think it looks unfinished, it's still, very much appreciated. ^^

I love watching this guys mods since Age of Calamity came out. Seeing Hyrule "rebuilt" using the Wild engine and allowing for mostly full exploration is such a treat.
You just realized my dream of seeing the castle as it was before! I tried to tour it during Age of Calamity, but it was not the same, since the game doesn’t give you the possibilities of Botw. I really really hope to see a “post-calamity castle” kinda renovation in Botw 2.

That tunic should have been Link's outfit in the flashbacks, with the blue scarf representing the affiliation to the Champions. That would have been a smart way to put the green tunic in the story without actually having it in the main game.

It would be cool if you had a mission after Ganon to rebuild the castle, similar to how you help build the Terry Town.
The game could still have the blood moon, soo you have some enemies to fight, also could have a save before Ganon, in case you wanna fight him again, that would make the game a lot better

i feel like the apocolyptic world being the second half the game (first half being 100 years prior) wouldve been amazing to revisit all the destroyed places
I'm guessing that the models were taken from age of calamity? It looks amazing being able to see the castle this clean however you want in botw.
Removing calamity isn't really what life was like before. You need to add tables to the dining hall, clean up rooms to make it look like people are there, etc. Overall still outstanding and I love the video!
So how well did the assets fit? Like how much of a scale difference between the games is there? Hpw much of the old assets have you had to remove?
Age of calamity uses different units scaling from botw - the assets are roughly 100 times bigger. Simple rescaling in blender will do the trick

When you do release the mod is there going to be an option to turn monsters on or off in hyrule castle (extra option with no monsters that’s downloadable) like so we can still fight Ganon in the sanctum or does the mod screw up the ganon fight in the sanctum?
