Ice was my favorite episode! It gives you a small taste of that interesting world. Enough of a taste to get a feel for it, but not enough to where you know all the details. It leaves you wanting to know more, since the ice planet and the modded kids are so interesting. But it's also a great story. I've heard the term anticlimactic be thrown around, but the show is called LOVE, Death + Robots, not Death + Robots. The story was about brotherly love. It built a super cool world while telling a very succinct and brief story. Like a snapshot of a day in someone else's life. Except that someone else lives on another planet in a different world.
I haven't watched much of classic animation... but Robert Valley's work is always treat to creative minds... from all the modern animators, I love Robert Valley's work the most... his works are crisp and full of aesthetic vibes...his choice of doing works are so passionate, that I get inspiration...LD+R brought Robert Valley into lime-light again... hope we will get to see his works again
check the new series from Tartakovsky as well. After, what seemed to me, the masterpiece that SJ was, his new series Primal is even better.
The animation and overall vibe on this episode is amazing.

You kinda scammed us with Love Death and Robots season 2 and it's 8 episodes where season 1 had 18 episodes. I can't even remember a memorial episode from season 2.

This was great but Netflix is not.
For me it was my least favourite episode of all, including volume 1. The animation was great, and they had an interesting concept, but the story, idk, kinda felt lacking
Interesting, I really enjoyed the story for this one, it was rather simple and at times almost felt what I would describe as “minimalist” but I personally felt refreshed by it. The relationship between the brothers seemed like the main focus, and how the modded one faked his leg injury really got me invested into thinking about their relationship even further. The culture of the ice planet was something I also enjoyed a lot as well, the native language they used sounded almost like it could be a real earth language at times, at least for me. Out of all of season 2 (been a while since I’ve rewatched the first seasons episodes) I think it definitely wasn’t the worst for story, in my opinion, I believe that “Ice” definitely beat out the Christmas episode when it comes to story. As the Christmas episode had an interesting concept of Santa being a demonic looking creature, but other than that, the story was even more bare bones than “Ice” was. What do you think?

Surprising; It's not the matrix but i don't think the story was bad at all. What do you think it lacked?
The story is beyond brilliant if one really understands the symbolism of love between siblings and it's convection with the whales. Whales are known to travel in packs and they always protect one another which is what Fletcher did for his unmodded brother Seth who was always criticized for not being genetically modified. Also the icy environment further adds to the storyline cause not only is the climate so extreme but also the behaviour of people is ice cold (the discrimination between modded and unmodded kids is portrayed so well).
To be Honest second season wasn't that great
