If you shut off the audio output to the monitor the lag is a lot better.
I monitor sound from the cameta.
Good find! Pinned for visibility
thank you so much for this in-depth review! this really helped me with figuring out what I should get for my first camera monitor :D
Thank you man 😊
I’m so confused! I was thinking of PT6 but after seeing your video I’m thinking twice.
Which one would you consider if you had to choose one?
Cheers
Honestly both are great options and if one of them is substantially cheaper I´d just go with that one, since the specs are pretty much the same.
If they´re the same price, I´d opt for the Desview R5II, because the only real difference between them is that the R5II is 200 nits brighter.
Hope this helps!
2:30 I thought it came with a slice of cheese for a moment 😅
how bad is the hdmi input lag is it really noticeable or something you can live with considering the price. are other similarly priced monitors also having this lag. I am thinking of picking up the Desview R5II.
If you are doing very fast manual focus pulls it's not that great.. cheaper monitors are known for being bad in this category but I found even the cheaper SmallHD to be pretty lackluster when it comes to input lag. For what it's worth, it's very usable compared to other options for everything including pans and slow focus pulls, but for faster ones I would recommend using a focus wheel with stops, so you can mark both ends of the pull without ever overshooting.
@@polymorphcomputers thank you so much for your detailed reply and experience with using this and similar products. this helps a lot. I dont have a lot of focus pulls in my workflow.
If you stop the sound going to the monitor the lag is a lot better.
Monitor sound from the camera.
can i power it with a powerbank or direct to a cellphone charger?
You'll need a USB-C to DC adapter for the powerbank or a 2A DC power supply, so yes.
Don't forget that it allows you to theoretically power your camera or another device too through its DC out.
@@polymorphcomputers thank you :) and one more thing. is the DC in terminal center negative?
thank you, with your help I was able to achieve silver 2 in this new game called league of legends
D1 climb stream with this monitor when?
