    Amazing - two years ago I had heard of Rode but didn't have anything they made. Now we have Rode PodMics, a Wireless Go II set-up and just bought this mic. They are really at the forefront of coming out with products that make today's content creation both possible and enjoyable.

    Excellent demonstration of these new mics, Caleb! The raw audio also just further compliments the processing of your main audio quality. It would be interesting to hear your processing of the VideoMic Go II to match similar to your overhead mic you're using - I feel like it would perform very well given it's size and price!
    One question I do have though; do the adjustments you make via USB "stick" with the mic when later connected to the camera? Just wondering if the pad/high pass etc. can be enabled externally and it's just a case that they lack the physical space for the buttons. I'm gonna assume no, but would be great if it could be set via the app...

    • @dslrvideoshooter
      @dslrvideoshooter  Před 2 lety +4

    Hi Caleb,
    Very nice video and Mic, coming from pro Audio classical music recording I am happy for Rode, they are developing really good products for broader mass...
    But in the other hand they completely abandoned the pro Market after 2018
    the TF-5 was the last innovation (one of the best pro cardioid mic in the same ligue with Schoeps cmc64,better than KM184 I own both).
    They did an ambisonic SoundField by RØDE NT-SF1, it could be IMHO the future of the Industrie in CZcams .
    you know probably the mic and system but paired with a good Sony camera and Zoom F8n you got a much more immersive feeling vs usual setup...the problem is still the End user and the lack of choice for immersive headphones or hardware.
    But it will come eventually,because human hearing it's immersive and not stereo...it is like the cinema and TV.

    Rode was absolutely thinking of me when they made this microphone. So much bang for the buck! 🧨

    if you had to, like really HAD To judge it against your Big Microphone Shootout how would it rank against your MKH 416? Would it even make the cut of your final 3 microphones?

    Any idea how well this mic would record an acoustic guitar? How about an electric guitar? I’d love to hear acoustic samples just with the mic and from an amp with both acoustic and electric guitars. Thanks!

    I don't have one of those Rode wirelesses, do you plug in the base station, so to speak, into the Deity microphone? Otherwise that doesn't seem very wireless, I guess.

    There was no USB C-USB A cable in the box, just noticed in your video. But thanks for recommendation. Witt try it tonight!
