Yes D, he was the R in REO and the R in Rock N Roll and made them the band they were in their heyday. Heartfelt Birthday wishes to Gary from your fans, who you touched and gave so very much to. God Bless and be with your loved ones. You made a difference in this world. { 10-18-49 } RIP
Great!!! This performance is so fresh...I love this historic lineup. Gratzer, Richrath...that was the best REO Speedwagon ever. Also, Cronin's vocals are so good here that he sounds very much like the studio version. Gratzer is one of the most underrated drummers of all time, despite the fact he was highly respected by his peers due to his amazing time keeping skills.
Holy shit, the room is practically empty. Imagine being on a Hamburg bar crawl that night and you wander in. Would be like having your own personal performance.
What's going on with Bruce Hall's bass @2:02? Definitely a train wreck starting to happen ... but he and the band kept pushin' on. Gary in his prime here.
Yes, Gary does have the talent, looks, drive and that smile he has when he has the crowd in a frenzy got me hooked on him the first time I saw him play "Take It On The Run". And also not realizing he wrote it!!
This song gives me life
There was only one Gary Richrath. He was truly the R in REO and the R in the Rock that made them who they were. RIP G.

My favorite album and my favorite song on it. I'm thankful to have been able to see him in concert in 1985 where the music sounded the best. ❤️

Cool to see them in a small place. This band played And paid their dues. Richrath is freaking incredible.
