This is my orchestral interpretation of the Fortress of Fear theme, i totally love the original one, but it's a shame, it's not so well known nowadays. :)
The animation is the first one I ever made and is based on the game sprites and movement, so if something seems odd, it's probably because it wasn't different in the game, but please leave some constructive criticism anyway!
I had so much fun creating this video, that I really want to do another one in this style, so if you have a suggestion for an 8-bit/16bit game, with nice music (except Mario/Zelda etc. since this would be way too obvius and over-done. :D) please leave me a message or comment. :)

P.S.: You don't know HOW much I raged, while getting all the graphics for this video...but at least I finally beat the game after about 15 years... - Hudba

I always loved the intro theme of that game, sometimes I let the title screen on without even playing just to listen to it. You've made an amazing version of that theme, thank you !
(Sad thing the ingame music were quite poor though. x_X so repetitive)
The amount of times a booted up this game just to listen to the intro and shutting my Gameboy off again is proof of how insane this games music was. Especially with the limited resources of a 8bit game.
Never felt such tension of parallel and adventure as a kid. Till I played and heard this game. Thank you for recapturing that beautiful theme. And giving me armor again.
This is very good. Makes me want to sit in a traditional pub in rural England, drinking ale by a log fire.

Wow, das is echt super. Seit Jahren komm ich immer mal wieder vorbei, um den Track zu hören! :D Mir gefiel auch immer die Musik aus dem dritten Level so gut, früher, weswegen ein Kumpel von mir davon mal ne Metalversion eingespielt hatte. ^^

Got this game in a small times greemy looking shop....
At the time i was a kid.... but when i plugged the game in and started the game..... breathtaking.... i used to spend hours listening to the intro song (this one), before i started playing and when i started playing... it was so frikking hard... but i loved it!!!

ah, fortress of fear, my first gameboy game back then. found it hard as hell but this song was sooo cool. i used to use my gameboy as kind of an mp3 player back then. going into bed, putting in this games, let the song play, putting it castlevania, doing the same.

@CyberBasti I do some "liedermaching" and guitar-instrumentals, mostly stuff you'll hear on the radio.
But the fortress of fear and tetris-music I'll also do on guitar some day soon.
Those tracks were great music, I guess they'll be covered or remixed with lots of instruments and stuff and I so much look forward to more and more versions of these.

This music que/theme/song. For this game is totally awesome, and its something i will always remember as one of the coolest from the GB library.

Finally I found that remake of this awesome music of this awesome (? No! It's difficult and frustrating as hell!! :D ) game.
I think I played it up until shortly after the first boss-enemy.. damn that was difficult.
Anyway: The intro music was awesome.
Suggestion for future work? Here it is: Tetris. I think the old tetris had 3 theme songs. I'll look up the one that I mean and link it as reply.

I even had a hard time finding, out who actually did the theme, it's not even in the manual! If you want to get a cartridge, look online, i got one in a very good conditionm including the manual and even the original packaging for 1,50 Euro ! :D

Thank you! :) I took screenshots of every text in the game, took the rest of the letters from the highscore list and just copied and pasted them by hand to build the words.

Wie bist du an die Schriftart rangekommen?
Beim eintragen in die Highscoreliste kann man alle Buchstaben durchgehen, da hab ich alle gesammelt und in Photoshop wieder zusammengesetzt
