Sundown for the win that’s amazing for one sub period that’s why I just ordered 2 U-Series 10s from the Sundown yard sale and paid about half price of retail I’m putting them in a band pass box with at least 3000 watts rms.
Miss those zv3's I had a pair in a no wall explorer build on a ns1 pulling a 156, they was one of my favorite subs ever. Said i beat them to the point they tore on the surrounds lol.
That setup is bigger than my future 😳😜

Doubling your power is suppose to net you a 3db gain. But there will be losses due to efficiency of everything. Very impressive for that sub to hold that kind of power. I wonder how many times you could throw 18k at it before failure occurs?

Would you say the U-series are tighter and punchier compared to the X series? I listen to a lot of metal and like deep accurate fast kick drums. Currently been running sealed boxes but want to upgrade to one of these in a ported enclosure and get deep lows while still remaining punchy and accurate.

Do all the U series come with 4ga terminals? My zv5 18s only have 8ga, and X V.2 18s 8ga as well.
If you want bigger terminal's for some reason why not just swap them out by yourself?

All U, X, Z, NS, and Team subwoofers come with 4ga terminals. Its a standard 4ga though and not oversized like many car audio guys are used to with wire. There aren't any Zv5s with 8ga terminals.

Sub is still good. We topped out on power getting just over 9kw from each scv-7500 @ 1.3ohms reactive.

It's just a u18 with tons of power thrown at it in a SPL burp box. But I'm sure it would still be a little loud in a daily box on rated power.

Lol good luck because they had two of their 7500’s strapped to half a ohm each so they’re pushing some serious power to get that number, given that was a burp so there’s no way they could play music at that level for very long... of course unless you make an even better “magic box” 😂😂😂 maybe 4th order with both chambers tuned to the same frequency 👀👀 I’d also upgrade to two skar 2000’s 😉

This sub does great off its rated 1500w power too. We're showing how much extra power it'll easily handle and how loud it can get while doing it.

Hard to compare a neo based sub against a ferrite sub. NSv4 all day long... I'd be curious to see the Gauss readings from both, that may give us a better idea of motor strength by testing Gauss on motor only.

@@Luminous.Dynamics lol for 1 yes you can as recent as june of this year locally we had 3 cube enclosures on smaller local 8 inch subs doing 138DB@22hz using a sound digital 3k not daily if course for power but on a burp yes and the enclosure was made to play lows a x8 would be a bit large for that enclosure so how come it won't do fine, thing is just this guy would not have known how low the tunning would end up and he would have lost output or not enjoyed the setup overall.

The current you see on the screen is current output from the amplifiers. Not current draw. At 20kw its pulling close to 2,000a of current.
