    Your job is a priceless job. Instead of changing the ABS module by a second hand one you prefer to repair it saving money to the customer and recovery/recycling a module. GREAT JOB. Thanks for sharing.

    Brilliant, I have exactly that problem and I thought it looked temperature dependent so now I know they use those pressure pins I'm going to re-solder them. Im a bit scared to reflow the chips so I'll see if re-soldering the pins work first. What a great video, somebody who actually gets down to the basics.

    I always respect your job but your soldering skill is terrible. No offense, even Chinese 5 year old child solder better (may be). There is couple simple tricks. Do not apply solder to the soldering iron, because flux evaporates and you get poor soldering. First heat the contacts and then apply the solder. To increase the thermal conductivity you need to select the right tip and only sometimes use bit solder on the soldering iron to increase the thermal conductivity. The heat is your friend until you do not use too high heat or too long. My temperature settings is constantly 350degrees and I count seconds. There is always possible to revisit the same spot later and reflow or add more solder. Decades ago I soldered like you and it was big mess

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  Před 2 lety

      Everything I have solder so far, is yet to fail... and I have been repairing stuff for ages...
      So, I would say, if it works, don't fix it... I will carry on soldering the way I feel comfortable...
      Might did not show, but I apply flux on the pins prior to start... plenty of flux... so, even if the flux evaporates from the wire, makes no difference... I never ever relied on the flux from the wire alone... always used extra...
      I do however appreciate your comment.
      Thanks...

      Not taken personally...
      Apologies if my reply sounded that way...
      I totally agree, that we can all learn from each other, but I also believe that there is different ways of doing things... if that makes sense...😊

    So basically this entire video is for nothing and after a long repair process it didn't work and you just replaced the ABS module. might as well delete the video. dont bother fixing just replace it.

      Parts replacement.... that is the joke of the day!
      Clearly you watched one video on my channel, and in your mind that is enough for to judge the entire channel... all the time and effort put on the videos and shared information...
      Unbelievable!

      @@LMAutoRepairs mate I’m just trolling a bit. I just dislike this video not having a disclaimer that it didn’t work. It seems it’s never the pins that go out on these it’s always something else so you should put that on there so you don’t waste anyones time
