    Love them old Fords! My dad had a 65 Fairlane Station Wagon, it was a blueish green color. It had a black interior and was hot as you can imagine in the Florida summertime. I spent some quality childhood time playing in the backseat and the cargo area. The best was playing spaceship in the front seat while my parents were shopping. My dad always knew I was playing with all the switches when he started the car and the wipers and stuff would come on.

    Taking time and doing this step makes a huge difference once it’s painted. Good tips for sure!

    Great stuff Jeff, especially the judicious use of the wood block for tweaking. It amazing how a little well-applied force and some patience pays off.
    And BTW - the garage could use some holiday decorations too ;)

    Yeah I have self holding/struts hood
    I noticed it was moving around not the strut but the hinge locking the hood to the car and notice bolts there.
    I assume these will adjust the hood it's a ridiculous gap on the driver side I didn't add pressure as I seen the same exact thing on the exact same car got 2 so yeah it's driver side lifted up and the pass side sits plush it just recently started doing this I hate closing those damn strut hoods as cool as they look and convenient.

    The video I'd like to see is what all it takes to swap a 250 six cylinder out for a 302 in a 68/69 Fairlane Ranchero with a column shift C4. I know I need motor mounts and I believe alternator and power steering pump brackets, possibly power steering pump, throttle cable, radiator, radiator hoses, possibly shift linkage, new exhaust system and??????

    So, what do you do when the back of the hood sets high, but your hinges are down as far as they can go? I was told to raise the front of the hinges, and keep the back of the hinges down. That will lower the hood. Your opinion?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  Před 5 měsíci

      Probably. It will somewhat depend on damage to the hood, inner fenders etc. But all things even that should work.
