    This was my first launch ever that I have seen live in person and it was absolutely amazing. Congratulations ULA and thank you for this unforgettable experience.

      Hi, may I know where did you watch it? I'm planning to see the last launch of Delta IV Heavy next month but haven't decided where to watch it. Thanks!

      @@naiqizheng Hi, during my visit at KSC I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Titusville Kennedy Space Center Hotel. This hotel is directly at the NASA Causeway at the Indian River and it features an amazing roof top viewing experience. You can see all the pads very good and it was very comfortable that you have only to go up the elevator in the hotel to visit the launch in the middle of the night. If you have further questions feel free to ask :)

    ULA, your launch highlight videos are just as cool as your launches. HUGE thanks to the team that puts these together.

    While every Delta IV heavy launch is a spectacular show, nothing will ever match the sheer vibe that Vandenberg had with those launches.

    I love how at 1:12 you can see the core booster has a shorter flame length than the side boosters

    • @mariauzcategui5347
      @mariauzcategui5347 Před 11 měsíci +2

      That's because a few seconds after launch, the core booster is throttled down to partial thrust level

    Gee, the Delta IV has three RS68, more thrust than the four Antique Historical Reusable Space Shuttle SSMEs used on NASA's SLS. NASA should switch to RS68A instead of the Priceless SSMEs.

    • @chrisoddy8744
      @chrisoddy8744 Před 11 měsíci +2

      RS-68s can't handle the heat from the SRBs, they'd basically melt. They did briefly consider using the RS-68s on SLS (what with the RS-68 being a disposable derivative of the RS-25) but after they found that issue they had to scrap that idea

      It’s more cost.
      People will still go for the more expensive ones if it means more stuff that it can carry, the delta IV heavy isn’t even that old… it’s from the early 2000s
