Patton had huge respect for Rommel and vice-versa.
And their granddaughters are friends.
I wish both families a bright future.

Ridiculous comment. Patton didn't consider killings that came under the heading "rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's (including military service)" to be immoral. Despite Patton's quirks and idiosyncrasies, he had a strong moral compass.
Their grandfathers were adversaries, their fathers were friends, and now they’re friends. They are the granddaughters of 2 legendary generals from the 20th century

Generalfeldmarshall Rommel & General Patton are people who I admire & respect greatly. I wish all the best to their families. This is an outstanding occurance & I am glad it happened.

I'm from Ecuador. Seeing this video makes me remember the history of mankind and partcularly two great men I've always admired such as Patton and Rommel two great leaders and warriors more than being rivals in the battle field they admired each other because their smartness and above all they were two human-beings like anyone. I strongly believe their descendants must feel proud of their forefathers and they died not only for their countries but also they stuck to their ideals.

I took care of a man who graduated , along with pattons son, from west point in 1946 and from what I remember they both served alongside together as well. Ike's son graduated in 1945 from west point and he knew him too. But the gentleman told me that the patton family was very proud of the movie patton
There was a photo that came out in 2018 that showed Rommel meeting with the other officers executed in Operation Valkyrie trying to execute Hitler. Rommel didn't want to kill Hitler because he feared a civil war, but wanted to put Hitler on trial. He was a brave man and great field general.

They'd bicker and argue about tactics but at the end of the day they both respected eachother.
