I'm not a Brewer's fan but I got to see Corbin Burnes pitch against the Cardinals on CZcams game of the week today and they were speaking very highly of him and a cutter he has been carving guys up with now. Throwing at almost a 60% clip and getting it up to 97 mph. 2 years ago he threw it 5% last year I think in the mid 20s% what is he doing so different now to make that cutter so elite and have it being so effective?
I saw that he would throw it to lefties and righties and it seemed like they were pointing out that it could drop low and in or run low n out. From the same spot in the pitch it could break so many diff ways which causes headaches for hitters. I think a video showing the changes he made and the progress hes gotten from those changes would be really interesting. I love seeing guys like Bieber who worked hard to get better and how the work is paying off for them. Burnes' progression seems like it could be worth talking about.
I like seeing these kind of videos and always find them very interesting. Thanks for the great content 👍👍
