The vast majority of Yemeni people are Shia but the government is Sunni. When you suppress a majority by force and deny the same rights to everyone you end up with a revolution. We supply weapons for revenue but could end the war over night with a no fly zone over the region or simply taking interest in solving the conflict through diplomacy. The sad reality is profits are more important to us than life. The West have played dirty games in the run up to the Ukraine war and are now playing politics in Taiwan. We just can't stand any developing country taking over our GDP or having more political influence than us hence why it's geopolitical and not a proxy war. Sadly you missed the point of my comment and are happy to talk about Yemen at length, a man made war. Iran is just supporting their own brothers of the same religion in Yemen, just like the West supports those countries of similar values like in Ukraine. Yemen just wants peace, way before Iran or Russia for involved, the West never thought to speak to Saudi Arabia who are against all Shiite Muslims and are fighting their own GEOPOLITICAL war. We in the West keep silent because we need Saudi oil. The point of comment was more to do with the double standards the West plays and the wars it chooses to support more than others.
