Honestly two beautiful mid-ranged phones. Perfect for somebody who isn't into the tech game but wants a phone that has some of the features or can't afford the big ones. Good to see more companies out there too, they seem to have some innovative ideas too!
I have the iPhone 13Pro but all the iPhone’s are basically just basic so to speak..but every once in a while I like to change it up an have fun some times..the next one I’ll get is the s22 Plus ..an Android phones are basically the same also..you can just do more on them than the iPhone..then later I can go back to simple

Agreed. Having multiple phones side-by-side is especially nice for judging the displays. That'd be a valuable thing to do even when not doing a pair of closely related models.
The backs _have_ to look different these days as most phones look similar from the front. They're all tall & skinny too. I miss the days of the *HTC One,* now that was a unique design and the dual front facing speakers served a purpose.
Except for cameras, Moto has the Best Buy award..... I've had several over the years. Love their sound and wifi connection...and that headphone jack rules !! IMO, 5G is useless, as it's true speed is only available in a very, very few metro areas.
Nokia? Naaah can't compare with motorola nokia was releasing shity cheap bar phones but motorola was real creative I would say they were the rolls royce of the phones at that time
I have a moto g stylus and I love it. Had for a year so far. Dropped it numerous times and it got in water and still works without lag. Not a single scratch on the screen. The stylus pops out on its own when it drops but other than that its basically built like a Nokia brick. Ived dropped it on concrete and linoleum and tile. All good.
Dunno if it's addressed in the video or if anyone knows of it or if other phones have it too but this phone has some cool gestures/features where you can do a twist motion twice fast (like corner to corner diagonally and it will activate the camera. And shaking left or right twice makes the flashlight turn on. Also pulling the stylus out before unlocking will automatically bring up a notepad. Very handy for jotting down some quick things
I purchased the 2020 Moto G Stylus on sale for $149 late last year as a backup, and as Floss would say "Scumbag activities" phone. It's works great and has become the phone I use more on a daily basis over my more expensive "Flagship phone." In fact when my "main" phone crapped out on my unexpectedly my Moto filled in and kept me rolling
I've had the g 2021 for about 3 mos. and I LOVE IT!! Bought brand new and didn't pay nearly that much. Mine was under $200. Great vid Flossy. Good comparison.
These phones remind me of the LG stylo phone which were awesome phones for your kids they loved having a stylus. The LG stylo 4 was actually a great budget phone

I picked up an unlocked 2021for $199 on Amazon while the 5G version was $349. That was a no brainer for $150 less. There is only spotty 5G coverage in my suburban area anyway. Thanks for the informative and always amusing video.

I have the 5G. Coming from using Samsung flagships, it's a pretty good phone. I'm sure I'll eventually run across a feature that I miss, but I think I can get used to not having. All in all, this is a good solid phone if you're on a budget, or in my case, the phone you're after isn't available

I been buying Motorola Phones for the past 2 years and they keep improving each year. I bought 4 Motorola Stylus 5G last year around July 2021 and till this date, they still work like New
My first Motorola coming from Apple was the Motorola one. Solid white with the silver metal around the edge. I still have it it was a real beauty of a phone. I have the edge plus now. So happy with Motorola.

I own both phones. 2021 is not 5G capable but still a great phone. 2022 is 5G and is only as fast as your carrier. Both great phones. Battery runs 8 hours of CZcams straight only spending about 20% of battery.

Just got the Motorola Stylus 5g as a second phone for under $230 bucks and it's as smooth and fast as my S9 that I spent over $800 dollars on 3 years ago. I'm just glad that you don't have to spend over $400 just to have a decent phone these days. I can buy 2 for less than what I used to spend on one. Now if I really needed to take a lot of pics and vids for work/ business than I would probably get a more expensive flagship.
I love Motorola. I have the razor flip and it just got android 11. Which always so much more use of the external display such as watching CZcams on it and lots of other stuff as well. And todays midrange specs were yesterdays top specs and honestly with the spec on these phones I doubt you will suffer any performance issues unless you go looking for it. Maybe a new game with PS5 type graphics? But day to day activities these will always be smooth as butter
So I actually bought this phone, the standard 2021 cause I was in a pinch. I'm really enjoying it. I was able to catch it on sale randomly at Best Buy and it was under $300

Thanks for an excellent video of both phones. I just moved from my Galaxy Note 8 to the Moto G Stylus 5G and am rather satisfied with it. It's of really good quality (calls, connectivity, build), it's certainly fast enough for me, outside photos are good enough as well. Battery life's absolutely phantastic for such a big screen and in everyday use it lasts easily 36-48 hours. But I miss the sharpness of the Amoled display, particularly of the fonts, which are less readable for my middle aged eyes, and the warmer colours similar to the colours of the G Stylus 2021. I tried various settings tweaks (eg under Display and Accessibility) and have been looking for simple themes. All to no avail. Any hints and tips to change the cool white background colour without having to turn to dark mode?

After 4yrs of use on my Galaxy A10e, it finally gave out. I was at my wits end trying to buy a good phone within my budget and ample storage. I was hesitant in my decision to buy the Moto g stylus. However, it was fairly easy to use. It's bigger than what I'm used to. But, I love it now. I watch a lot of CZcams videos, movies and news. Best decision I've made. And I love the Emerald Green color. One bad review speakers aren't as loud, as other phones I've had.
Sandra Sandoval+ I agree with you 100% on the speakers but I use my Bluetooth speaker at home so to me it's not to much of a drawback tho still a dam good phone for the money
It's hard for me to follow the stats with a kitty that cute on screen! I'm on my second Moto, the 2020 G Power (it was supposed to be better than the 2021) and I love it. Maybe next time I'll get a 5G, but I don't really need it.
I loved my moto g power. Unfortunately I dropped it for like the 1000th time lol and it finally cracked the screen a bit but with my OCD couldn't handle it so my 11 yr old was more than happy to have it lol. Using my lg g7 thinq until my moto stylus 2021 gets here tomorrow. But yes, g power is amazing. Like I stated, dropped it a thousand times(probably a literal number lol) without a case and it never cracked or anything until that thousand and one drop. But battery life amazing, no lag, got service in places no one else could, and yes, service has a lot to do with the phone you have, just all over great phone. Couldn't beat that 130 buck price point for the quality, 64g of storage etc. It hasn't went down in price yet at Walmart either, so shows it's a pretty dang good phone.
Good looking Floss. I recently copped the 5G after losing my LG stylus 6. Not missing it really! Anyway, I noticed that with boost mobile they only have it in 4 gig ram w/ 126 gig rom for $300. I'm pretty sure that the 6 gig w/256 is a bit faster but I can't complain. Nice phone, not mad. Rock on Floss and Shoes!

Thanks for an excellent video of both phones. I just moved from my Galaxy Note 8 to the Moto G Stylus 5G and am rather satisfied with it. It's of really good quality (calls, connectivity, build), it's certainly fast enough for me, outside photos are good enough as well. Battery life's absolutely phantastic for such a big screen and in everyday use it lasts easily 36-48 hours.
But I miss the sharpness of the Amoled display, particularly of the fonts, which are less readable for my middle aged eyes, and the warmer colours similar to the colours of the G Stylus 2021. I tried various settings tweaks (eg under Display and Accessibility) and have been looking for simple themes. All to no avail. Any hints and tips to change the cool white background colour without having to turn to dark mode?

After 4yrs of use on my Galaxy A10e, it finally gave out. I was at my wits end trying to buy a good phone within my budget and ample storage. I was hesitant in my decision to buy the Moto g stylus. However, it was fairly easy to use. It's bigger than what I'm used to. But, I love it now. I watch a lot of CZcams videos, movies and news. Best decision I've made. And I love the Emerald Green color. One bad review speakers aren't as loud, as other phones I've had.
Sandra Sandoval+ I agree with you 100% on the speakers but I use my Bluetooth speaker at home so to me it's not to much of a drawback tho still a dam good phone for the money

I'm on my second Moto, the 2020 G Power (it was supposed to be better than the 2021) and I love it. Maybe next time I'll get a 5G, but I don't really need it.
I loved my moto g power. Unfortunately I dropped it for like the 1000th time lol and it finally cracked the screen a bit but with my OCD couldn't handle it so my 11 yr old was more than happy to have it lol. Using my lg g7 thinq until my moto stylus 2021 gets here tomorrow. But yes, g power is amazing. Like I stated, dropped it a thousand times(probably a literal number lol) without a case and it never cracked or anything until that thousand and one drop. But battery life amazing, no lag, got service in places no one else could, and yes, service has a lot to do with the phone you have, just all over great phone. Couldn't beat that 130 buck price point for the quality, 64g of storage etc. It hasn't went down in price yet at Walmart either, so shows it's a pretty dang good phone.
Smart move by Moto trying to capitalize on the lack of Note this year.
Good looking Floss. I recently copped the 5G after losing my LG stylus 6. Not missing it really!
Anyway, I noticed that with boost mobile they only have it in 4 gig ram w/ 126 gig rom for $300. I'm pretty sure that the 6 gig w/256 is a bit faster but I can't complain. Nice phone, not mad. Rock on Floss and Shoes!
Great video! I will be checking more of your videos. I have the Moto G stylus 2021 and really like it. I learned a lot about it from your review. I'm kind of tight fisted and it's hard for me to believe I payed 300 dollars for a phone, maybe they had an introductory price, I though I paid a lot less.

I have the 2021 and I love it. I'm not about paying a thousand dollars for a mobile phone, but still wanted something nice and I feel like I got everything I could have wanted in a device for a good deal. Great review. 👌💯
I'm not leaving my 2020 stylus till they bring back the duel speakers. But I hope they don't keep making the sizes bigger. My phone fits perfectly in pocket and not so heavy
I wish that they would add NFC on these phones and Bluetooth capable with cars then this phone would be awesome
