  • This video is a free walkthrough tutorial that explains high density altitude and its effect on aircraft performance in preparation for the sUAS FAA Part 107 exam for commercial drone license. The video goes over six typical questions on density altitude as part of the weather study topic that you can expect on your exam too.
I explain the difference between density altitude vs. pressure altitude and go over conditions when they would be the same or not. Also, I cover four factors that affect density altitude and aircraft UAS performance, namely barometric/atmospheric pressure, ambient temperature, relative humidity and altitude.
Most of the test questions and material I cover in this video come from the study guide I used to prepare and successfully pass the exam with a 90% score in 2022. Take a look at this study guide here (updated for 2024): 🔸 amzn.to/463UQrV

i am trying to become a regular pilot and the biggest hiccup i am having on the test is weather. i avg around 70-75 on the practice exam but i want to get in to the 80s and 90s consistently before i go after the real thing. i just stumbled on these video's and i have to say it is like a God send. i work the next 12 days 12 hr shift each day but every break or down time i get ai am watching one of these videos. of all the you tube video's out there. this is the best straight forward to the point and has the best explanations. i think this will help me get over the hump.

When I studied high density, the material was not well explained and confusing. I made this video out of frustration and hope that it would help someone. Glad it helped you!

Air molecules are predominantly Nitrogen. That's a fact. Judgement has nothing to do with it .

These are complex relationships that you’re discussing. You need more diagrams to better explain it. It may need to be broken into 2 videos. Best regards. 😀

The reading speed is normal. You can change playback speed to 0.75 if you think too fast. Also, I learned a lot from this video. Thank you Blokhin Films!!!
