How to Pass the FAA Part 107 Exam | 2024 Study Guide Prep

  • I used the FAA part 107 exam study guide by Aviation Supplies and Academics (ASA) updated for 2024: 🔸 amzn.to/463UQrV
    You will also need the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement: 🔸 amzn.to/3RPT1eM
    In this study guide video, I provide tips you need to know and steps I took to pass the FAA Part 107 exam to get a FAA Certified Remote Pilot license on a budget. This license is also known as a commercial drone license. I completed my study work in 25-30 hours and passed the exam with a 90% score in July of 2022 with no prior aviation knowledge.
    There are 3 approaches to study for the exam: (1) free online resources, (2) paid online courses for $150-$300 and (3) study guide textbooks for under $20. When choosing a method for the FAA part 107 exam, my goal was to balance cost with time needed to effectively prepare for the exam. Learning from a study guide book was the most cost-effective compromise between free resources and paid courses.
    I chose the ASA study guide after doing my own independent research. This paperback study guide is updated each year and contains up-to-date material for 2023 with many quiz questions and explanations. When you buy this guide, it comes along with a hard copy of the Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement and free online access to 5 practice tests. The paperback Airman Knowledge Testing Supplement alone costs $10-12.
    I also discuss in this video how I leveraged this guide in my exam prep. I also talk about my experience at the PSI test center and what to expect on the day of your exam.
    If you are thinking of taking a paid course, consider Pilot Institute's "Part 107 Made Easy" course at: 🔸 learn.pilotins....
    Pilot Institute's "Part 107 Made Easy" is competitively priced and taught by industry experts. If you do not pass the exam on your 1st try, Pilot Institute will even refund your money. Pilot Institute often provides discounts to their "Part 107 Made Easy" course. In case they don't, use our discount code "BFILMS" to get $100 off.
    Many people use free resources to pass the FAA part 107 exam. But, the study guide approach is inexpensive for the value and study structure it provides.

    Thank you so much! I got the guide and passed with a 92%! I didn't want to pay $150 for a course in addition to the testing fee. I used a free online course by Altitude University but didn't feel confident, and it wasn't updated to include Remote ID and Night Operations. I took your advice and got the ASA Study Guide. It was extremely helpful and the questions were similar to my exam. Thank you, this video helped a lot.
    Tip: Use ALL the practice tests!

    I just printed out the pdf of the airman knowledge testing supplement. A lot of people I know recommended that. All of these seemed overwhelming at first but after watching many videos like this, all of the resources you guys provided really help clarify what to expect and how to get it started. I kind of wish I started this process sooner but better late then never. Thanks for posting this kind of content! It really helps!

    • @BlokhinFilms
      @BlokhinFilms  Před rokem

      Which app are you referring to and who created? Is it FAA or some reputable private party? These are the questions to answer. I have not used any apps. Only free online tests I referenced along with the free 5 practice tests included with the ASA study guide. I know that ASA has the app. I have not used it either. It could be an overkill. The ASA study guide was all I needed to pass the test successfully.
